Would anyone be interested in having a live zoom call to listen to portions of people's songs and get live feedback? Seems like that would be a fun couple of hours. Anyone interested?

Dude, thats priceless. lol, i came away from a nfl playoff game to say that
made me laugh.
Let me guess, Bill Draper will do it, probably John.
Perhaps the funniest part is, asking for FEEDBACK, no asking for praise.
Not hot enough for me to go down that rabbit hole, but im sure there are takers who will tell u what u want to hear.

unable to define feedback.
so i will, feedback is genuine assessment of the song, for lyric, melody, arrangement, etc, its not only feedback if its good.
For example, i gave Marilyn an honest, fair and not mean FEEDBACK of her song, you decided to tell everyone to ignore me, and that she should please herself...

(sigh).......... in the end the song is like your child. There's always room for improvement but in the end, the final say goes to the writer, everyone knows this, I just remind them sometimes, "this is just MY take".......they can take the feedback or not, that's not the point.

(sigh).......... in the end the song is like your child. There's always room for improvement but in the end, the final say goes to the writer, everyone knows this, I just remind them sometimes, "this is just MY take".......they can take the feedback or not, that's not the point. Yes its your song no matter what. Its possible here that the bar is set so low. Its just old farts showing their gardening hobby to somebody. I get that, but it wasn't aways like that.

I was here when it was great! i'm just offering something new but it it's only gonna be a board with 6 people on it, it's not really a board at all. On the positive side of Zoom. It can capture nuances of the person speaking. Interpretation can sometimes be misinterpreted by simply typing in a reply. So, seeing and hearing the reply could be more accurate. However, to me, Zoom would invade my privacy. I want to keep my home private from the outside World.

But, the last 10 yrs have really sucked. I can't use a laptop or a smartphone. My desktop is plugged into my 65" in my living room with a Bluetooth ball mouse and onscreen keyboard at 120% mag. That, and a laundry list of Gulf War related crap, makes me a guitar pickin' couch potato with a sweetheart of a disposition

Berst, John its no big deal I use it all the time on cowriting appointments. Sometimes 3 way screens . Say a bunch of crazy stuff for angles see what sticks . I was cowriting with Brent Baxter once , he said what was that flash that went by ? That was my wife she's really quick . You got 5 kids ? I can't even raise a dog . How it works in Nashville , 2 to 3 writers per song . Very seldom one writer
