#1 AI hit by a machine that fooled a lot of people is a pretty cool human achievement in programming. Meanwhile, I just like to go the old way...my lyric, my playing, my voice...warts and all Thank you smartphones because I've never had the interest\patience to get all technical in recording\mixing etc. I just want to write and play and sometimes I write a good song
And for Dom.. who wanted me to post something I wrote instead of roiling in the mudpit
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

Hey John good song man
We’re all built from the same dust and dreams, Different roads, but the same means.
I've had to take some online courses to keep my license current. The last 3 have been general courses about using AI.
One of the stated takeaways is that the future of architecture is probably a small team or a single person "stewarding" AI to do design back up, code research, spec writing and full documentation.
The concerning thing is that large buildings which took large teams headed by the people in charge of those respective teams will only need the team leaders in the future...as stewards of the concept.
It is what it is.
I'm going to use what I have learned and "steward" a song idea that I wrote down a while back and call on AI to create a story board, lyrics and a suggested melody for a song to see how that works out. If it is good, maybe a video.

I find the further away I get from my own input, the less satisfying it is.
Im even bored with just lyrics .
I did see Pete Townshend in late night show saying he had uncovered about 300 pieces of music that he didn't know what to do with. Then he said I don't know, maybe load it up on suno and see what they make of it.
I guess if the prompts are specific enough to what you want where it's just taking your orders, that night work

I get that.
I have a personal method for starting a song, outlining it, turning it into a GV and processing it into a song. It takes me weeks to months.
I'm interested to see, How quick the same basic process will be using AI? How much better the end result will be using AI, contrasted with all me.
Start to finish, I'm just going to be the producer at the sound board suggesting ideas to the talented writers and performers...as an exercise to see what turns out.
I've heard better AI songs than this one, All the comments were this is robot slop. Ricks a producer that works with bands in his studio , Thats why he hates robot songs for a Penney

You and the robots put out some good stuff. Don't fight something that works.

You can not promote robots as the artist . You need session players and sing it in a studio . Now you have a product . But AI provides good tools to see if something is working . I have no doubts all the pros are doing that . Well unless you want be Rusty Throaty or what ever that robots name is on his shitty song , I think you guys are pussy whipped and your wife's won't let you go the studio , So its yes dear and penny robots songs . Hey now you can sound like Bruno Mars and take all the credit . Man I'm good , well the robots are .

Thank you for the kudos on Just Like New York. No AI...maybe I am being willfully blind in not wanting to play with it...but I like the process of bringing my lyrics alive, even if the finished product has warts.
What I have been doing is replacing old youtube videos with new ones...practice does make them better.
This is not a slam on those who use it...I'm just an old dude settled in my ways....or maybe I just don't want to hand over the creative process to an algorithm.
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop
