Join us for the opening night of Meadowlark Music Festival 2025 with internationally acclaimed jazz violinist Scott Tixier at Kimball Recital Hall, located in the heart of Lincoln on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln campus.
Described by The New York Times as “a violinist whose sonic palette, like his range of interests, runs open and wide,” Tixier is a 6-time GRAMMY Award winner whose career spans collaborations with legends such as Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Earth Wind & Fire, and Ed Sheeran. His artistry blends deep jazz roots with a cinematic range, and his resume includes work on major film and television productions like The Lion King, John Wick, The Tonight Show, and Spike Lee’s 2020 Netflix film Da 5 Bloods.
Tixier’s performance promises to be a powerful and inspiring start to the festival — a rare chance to experience one of the world’s most dynamic string musicians live in concert.
