Some great lines in this song. I mean Hey Whisky. A bit confused by the multiple songs though. A song you'd hear on any country show it's contemporary and moves well. John

Thanks John. Appreciate the encouragement. I know that the arrangement of songs in the thread must seem disorganized at a glance. The trolling creates a mess too. I was complying with a suggestion by Brian to consolidate into one thread, which I think is a good suggestion. I'll try to get it better organized. If I'm not banned before I get around to it. Marty

Hi Marty A good track and great title, A pair of Dice for Paradise. Do you do many versions before deciding? Chris my song got me into this and did about 50 versions or more before we jointly settled on perhaps the best version. I've started doing the songs myself now and probably do more but music is subjective. I liked this song good chorus with some sound observations John

Thanks again John.
This description turned out 3 times longer than I had in mind. I hope any of it is useful to you.
My personal SUNO method to date involves;
I'm not having to do too many iterations. Maybe 15-20. I've got some prompts that deliver reasonably well for the lyrics that I write and "attitude" that I'm looking for.
For me, one of the nice things about working with such powerful co-writer is that I can focus exclusively on the lyrics. I Try to stay in touch with the rhythm of the lyrics in my head. If they recite well, SUNO usually handles them well. They don't have to be meter perfect, because SUNO will stretch and crowd words here and there to keep them on the beat. That will usually add some character to the song. Particularly the stretching.
Once I get the first draft of the lyrics written and the syllables are rolling along in my head reasonably well, I upload them. Sometimes I will really like the tone of the 1st iteration, but there will always be areas in the song that aren't working. Then I will go back into the lyrics and start adjusting for timing, testing with iterations as I make changes. Usually, I'm getting an acceptable overall sound on almost every iteration. After 15-20 iterations, the timing kinks start ironing out and I get an optimal version.
Strange thing that keeps happening, I'll get to what I think is an optimal version and decide, "I'm going with that." It'll typically be about 8pm. My wife will yell in, "I'm ready to watch some Netflix." I'll say, "be right there, gimme a minute." I'll click another 2 iterations, and almost unfailingly like one of them much better than what I have to that point. So part of my method is too wait for her summons.
Your SUNO songs, particularly this last one, sound beautifully coupled to the music to my ear.
If you have time, please discuss your method.
Marty

[[Since I quit listening one minute in, I'll just post the lyrics...]] It was a quiet Tuesday night in the hotel bar. Maybe three people, maybe there was four Had been a day full of meetings, most had been a bore. He was having one last drink, ‘fore he headed for the door. Sitting all alone, lost in his thoughts about meetings in the morning, all the should and should nots in the corner of his eye, he clearly caught her stare He looked down at his phone to appear unaware. And then, like out of thin air, she was in the next chair [pause] [V2] She said I saw your presentation early in the day It was very impressive, so I thought I’d say, Good going back there, by the way...my name is Kay. On their face her words were harmless and so was her praise But in her tone and in her eyes, there were clearly warnings raised They talked about the weather and things in the news But she made her desire clear with no subtle clues [PRE CHORUS] He was not the type to roam, devoted wife at home. He knew no matter what, he had to leave that bar alone. The flesh wants to feed, and her body was a feast Underneath his breath, he said, Lord, give me strength, please. [PAUSE] Then some words rang in his head, [CH2] When this night is a faded and forgotten memory, and my’ life is nearly done, almost hist-o-ree When laying on my final bed, drawing near my final breath, staring at the door of death, alone with the one who said, With this ring…I do thee wed. When death does do us part, and mortality is my new reality When moments left are few, Its those eyes I want to see Do I want to find, stored somewhere in my mind. All commitments met, but this one night’s regret [V3] Well Kay, my drink is done and tomorrow is an early one. Very nice to meet you, and good luck in all you do Gotta get some sleep, so I take my leave, and bid adieu to you. He stood to turn away, disappointment smeared her face. But on a future night, in a future place, It would serve him well, that this night would leave no trace [SHORT INSTRUMENTAL SOLO] [CH2] When this night is a faded and forgotten memory, and my’ life is nearly done, almost hist-o-ree When laying on my final bed, drawing near my final breath, staring at the door of death, alone with the one who said, With this ring…I do thee wed. When death does do us part, and mortality is my new reality When Moments left are few, Its those eyes I want to see Do I want to find, stored somewhere in my mind. All commitments met, but this one night’s regret [short pause] Do I want to find, stored somewhere in my mind. All commitments met, but this one night’s regret

Since I quit listening one minute in, I'll just post the lyrics... This is not likely the song's final iteration. Lyrics may likely change some. Poems are meant to be read. Songs are meant to be heard. If they don't work without a lyric sheet, then they don't work. Or, in your case, this type of song and its content bores you. It's not a bad song. The link that I posed should show the lyrics. Tony, this is my AI song thread. Please don't troll it with disruptions and veiled insults. Even if I listen to your song posts out of curiosity, I'm not going to leave a comment. I dont seek your opinion. For the sake of the atmosphere on the site, it's best that you ignore my song thread. The TROLLS have been allowed to do pretty much as they wish on this site. I've been unable to get it to stopped and requests simply to be left alone seem to encourage them. They seem to share a psychological addiction to annoying people and this site provides them a feeding ground for that. If anyone is genuinely interested in hearing any songs that I have written, please click on the following link. DEFINITELY AN IMPROVEMENT! Am not sure if your comment is for SoundCloud and their sign-in policy, or my female SUNO version of this song. If for my song, appreciated and thank you. If for SC, I'll pass it on if I meet any of them. Marty

Marty,
Okay so it appears either the block feature didn't work, OR you only blocked FD OR he has simply been smart enough to stay off this thread.
If the block link was tried and did not work, please let me know. I will try myself when I am back online (my primary CPU has been down for nearly 2 weeks). If you are playing "nice" then I won't worry about it. But...
JAPOV, please be civil or I will have to go into ALL of your accounts and block everyone from each other which I remind you all, CAN'T be undone as far as I know .

Brian
I did not block anyone. Dominick (FD) has left me alone in the last few days, since you made us mutual poison pills. Tony kept gnawing at me, but if you read my posts, I was defensive and clear, but civil throughout.
Hopefully, the site can have a quiet period that lasts long enough for people to get comfortable enough to drift back in and use the song threads. If that does not happen, your problem will not be me. The second "poison pill" was a desired outcome. Thank you.
Marty

Hi Marty Where was I. Without doubt a good commercial sound contemporary and as good as any you'd hear on radio currently. Do publishers accept them? Very doubtful they're not even sitting on the fence. I think eventually AI songs will chart and probably have done already. I'd like to get one or two of mine re-recorded it's expensive so that's on hold but I think it's the only route to take. John

Thanks John. I like the song too, but it may be a little strident for today's world. There are a lot of cheaters out there these days, and if this song came on in the car when one of them was going to the grocery store with their significant other...it might create an uncomfortable ride to the grocery store. But some of us, just write what we write. Regarding AI, I think that there is reason to believe that the AI issues will be largely worked out between the big players. I have no idea how much courtroom will be involved, but I suspect that they all realize that they have to work out something workable, and move on. Thanks for listening, Marty

Bobby and I go back, I could not say no, He said you know I love you brother, Pay you back real soon for sho'. [RETURN] Said I know you will Bobby. I know you will. [PAUSE] [VERSE 2] I was down at the package store, Standing in the check-out line, Bobby was up in front, Loading up cigarettes and wine. [REFRAIN] I said HEY THERE BROTHER BOBBY, How ‘bout my fifty bucks. He said get out my way before I break your face, People, like you, suck. [PAUSE] [RETURN] I said people like me just want our fifty bucks…back…Bobby! [PAUSE] [CHORUS1 ] White trash diaper rash broke out on Bobby Lee, Chapped the skin on Bobby’s butt, Made him talk that way to me, I’ll never understand it, This thing, I tell you what. White trash diaper rash done ate poor Bobby’s butt. [PAUSE] [VERSE 3] I used to have this girlfriend, Her name was Jenny Lee, Thin-lipped and kinda scrawny, But she looked real good to me Jenny said she loved me, Wanted to have my fam-i-ly. I liked the way she done me, The rest was fine with me. [VERSE 4] Tommy Joe came to me, Said there’s somethin’ you should know, Saw Jenn and Bobby Lee, Down at the picture show. They fogged up all the windows in Bobby’s old black truck. There’s no way they saw that movie. I think all they did was….. {PAUSE] [Spoken word] Was What Tommy! Was What! [PAUSE] And I... bought the gas that got em there. [CHORUS 2] White trash diaper rash broke out on Jenny Lee, Chapped the skin on Jenny’s butt, Made her talk that way to me, I’ll never understand it, This thing, I tell you what. White trash diaper rash done ate poor Jenny’s butt. [CHORUS3 ] White trash diaper rash broke out on Bobby Lee, Chapped the skin on Bobby’s butt, Made him talk that way to me, I’ll never understand it, This thing, I tell you what. White trash diaper rash done ate poor Bobby’s butt. [Outro]
