This was alot of fun to work on. The guy on the bus was a true story only he had a harmonica , and he knew blues and rock https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14814349Urban Poetry I was on the eighteen headin' downtown when I heard a tin beat headseat turned around Dude asked if it was cool..."the ipod too loud"? I said it didn't matter, you make yo gangsta proud He smiled and he asked me "you wanna sit here?" This joint is so dope the message too clear I said "I'm not a fan, I like the rock n roll" he said give this a listen it' ll do good to your soul it's called Urban Poetry the voice of all these passin streets every corner tells a story there's blood in every single beat It sounds like sex and violence but the real one's lived the news put it all together it's a modern day blues Well, he knew alot more then he let on he mentioned Led Zep and Stevie Ray Vaughn He said, "them cats are hip hop, know you dont believe It starts with Robert Johnson on up to Jay Z" Then he pulled out a gitar from under the seat startin riffin Hendrix hummin a Snoop beat it's all raw and primal, then he grunted a note "pain and pleasure from 19th century folks" it's called Urban Poetry the voice of all these passin streets every corner tells a story there's blood in every single beat It sounds like sex and violence but the real one's lived the news put it all together it's a modern day blues

Definitely a cool classic rock vibe. I can see that this could be fun working with B & B or now AI probably taking over that realm. Can you pan some guitars here? Definitely all good stereo sound, but I think the mix needs not all to be quite as centered. The song vibe brings back a feeling/memories of going into a large club with lots of beer drinking and dancing late early 80's when the disco scene began to wane and rock bands began to supersede the record spinner! Those few years of Disco were annoying to me and their line dancing exploiting the whole dance floor and the same drum beat with every song. But it was a popular genre, no question.

steady-eddie Thanks Eddie, I was aiming for Linkin Park, limp, Bizkit kinda half rap half rock, to support what the story was saying. It took a longgggg time to settle in this. Still not what I wanted, but I'm pretty sure it was a hundred tries and listens. Just wanted to see the possibility of it. I don't think I'd ever call it my own. Just a snapshot of my ideas
