A little something on the lighter side. This is a parody song of a well known soundalike number by that Toby something guy. I've been told it's a little PG-rated. Meh. It's parody. Hmmm. I just realized. I actually posted this lyric up here on JPF somewhere almost 2 decades past! https://suno.com/song/160b71b4-1c05-4a86-848c-ccd0c3d95812?sh=ZW5NVtxzMdCiXhfTI Love This Car (Verse) She got pin stripes, she got glass packs A double over hemi and she’s jacked She got nitro, she got slickers She got a four barrel Holley carburetor And the girls all wanna be my backseat stars Oooh, ooh, ooh, I love this car (Verse) She got red flames, she got street fame A nasty reputation in the fast lane She got stick shift, she got mag wheels Chrome plated bumpers, baby she squeals And the girls all wanna shift my shifter bar Oooh, ooh, ooh, I love this car (Chorus) I love this car She’s my kind of girl Just sittin’ in her front seat Makes my flag unfurl We’ll go far, she’s my star Oooh, ooh, ooh, I love this car (Verse) I’ve seen old men, I’ve seen young bucks Wishin’ they were me, drivin’ old trucks We got high class, yeah she kicks ass She really puts it to me when I hit the gas And the girls all wanna go….waaay too far Oooh, ooh, ooh, I love this car (Bridge) It’s just my luck (it’s just my luck) She ain’t my girlfriend (she ain’t my girlfriend) Or I’d rub her with carnauba Turn her on and slip right in (hehe) (Chorus) Yeah I love this car She’s my kind of girl Just sittin’ in her front seat Makes my flag unfurl We’ll go far, she’s my star Oooh, ooh, ooh, I love this car Ooooh, ooh, ooh, I love this car

Thanks. Even bigger question is how the f**k old are we? Look at that "Joined" date up there next to my name. That's almost a quarter century. Who was that guy? This place was hopping back then. I couldn't keep up then. I certainly cannot keep up now.
I looked up when I originally posted this. 2003!! Yikes.

Hi Michael,
I laughed at some parts of this song. It reminds me of a guy who use to do lyrics back in the old days. He was clock worker from Florida. As a matter of fact, they found him passed in his shop. That was sad. He was hilarious. That guy put out the craziest lyrics. I had to take my keyboard apart several times to clean up the coffee and Dr. Pepper reading his lyrics made me spew. The favorite part of my day was waking up and reading what others had posted. Then we all kind of went about our daily lives. There were a lot of people back then who were real characters. Simple Simon, Steve Rieck, of course Robert (couchgrouch), and obviously you. I came along in '04. Hard to believe it has been 21 years now. A lot of good people have come and gone. I stayed real close to Steve. We talked regularly right up until he passed. His sister called me and told me about it. A lot of people touched each others lives in those days way beyond just music. Maybe that is still the case with some folks on here. But for me personally, it isn't the same. It has changed a lot. Not for the worse necessarily as far as members are as people. But there sure aren't near as many people populating the threads as they once were. Got a kick out of the song. Take care!
Wes
