On a FB page where I post songs, a woman was banned for threatening to shoot someone.
I don't interact there other than to post a song now and then, so I don't know any details.

But it made me wonder something?

If Tony threatened to shoot someone, would he be banned here?

My hunch is probably not.

He's already threatened me, not to shoot, but a threat cause I had been dismantling his arguments.

I think that would depend lol

If he was a 500 a month donor, it might get a can't we all get along, comment.

but I think the cops would likely step in.

I think he's of the persuation that all you have to do is accept Jesus as your savior, and then you can be a dick and be covered.

He's also way more interested in doomsday prophecy than he is peace and love.

But lets say that they were so busy trying to keep people from shooting Donald Trump and setting Tesla's on fire, that Tony's death threats never come to their attention.

WTF? I've let you get away with BS for 8 years on just THIS version of your many accounts. You've never given a dime AND you've continued to be anonymous. You complain and whine about JAPOV, yet you can't control yourself enough not to continue to interact. That makes YOU the drama queen. Same with Sunset. The funniest thing is to see you and him as buddy buddy's when Sunset tried and tried to use MONEY to get BOTH of you banned! So he is someone who actually DID give money and did NOT get his way or YOU wouldn't exist as he wanted you banned and your posts all deleted. I find censorship dangerous. I don't like what any of the 3 of you have to say and probably all 3 of you would be banned off any other site. But I am not afraid of FREE SPEECH. If someone breaks a law, prosecute them! You guys have all attacked me over and over and made ridiculous claims forever. I simply don't read your posts unless someone complains. I got a notice about this one today so I came here to check it. The complaint came from someone other than the 3 of you.

If someone wants to contribute $500 a month, I absolutely would hear what they had to say any time they had a question, idea or problem. It would be a pleasure to do so as we need a lot of repairs. But I would not ban people they asked for nor would I censor people they didn't like. You guys never learned about Sticks and Stones as kids. If you make actual death threats you take the choice out of my hands. I would absolutely cooperate with law enforcement in that case. It has happened before, many years ago in another way (not on this board) but death threats were not only made, but a death occurred. Fortunately it was only the person making the threat once they realized the police were involved. But they were armed in a hotel room where an event they threatened was taking place in the ballroom of that event. Scary [naughty word removed].

Now, the next time I get a complaint where any of you are whining about the others, I guess I will have to go into your account and block each of you from seeing or reacting to the others. Because it is clear you have no self control and can't just ignore those you don't like.

I am looking into transferring this aging site onto a new platform right now so everything functions again and we can start having people sign up. We get about 100 attempts a month to register right now but this thing is just all busted up so I think the only option is to either find an A.I. that can fix what is broken OR transfer it elsewhere. It is a rare historical account of a rare and unique time in human history. This is why I keep it going. Most every first hand record of this era in music has been vaporized by Big Tech. Even sites like Amazon erased their giant communities like IMDB which was the finest collection of movie information from the public and it is just gone. So only the narrative of corporations will remain to speak for the past 25 years. Soon A.I. will begin permanently retaining information you give it. Once that happens, I will upload the entire board into so it will virtually exist long after we are gone. I know those of you posting now have little connection to all the amazing people that used to come here in the heydey of Online communication, but they are people and words worth saving. I am sure all of you bickering could offer something a bit more useful if you wanted, but bickering and whining seems to be your #1 purpose in life.

So the next time I get a complaint (from someone OTHER than you 3) you may find you no longer see each others posts. And I do not suggest you log out so you can peak at what is being said as you may not be able to get back in without my direct involvement as others have found. Fair warning. Once that happens, I will reverse it for... hmmmm... $500 a month sounds good.

I don't engage anywhere else in the manner that I engage here. The only other place was tunegoons and I quit that one because it was so acidic. After I quit, this misguided admin sent me an email asking me to return. When I did, the same personal attacks started coming at me again, without interference, so I started handing them back, making the nut-job who emailed me look at what was coming at me...FROM ME.
Until they banned me. But just there and here...no where else.
Why do I do it? Songs. I dont think that anyone's songs have more views than mine on your site.

Your songwriter site has become a series of political and religious and pointless arguments, where someone incidentally can post a song and receive very little feedback from a bare handful of people who arent in the business.

A sane approach would be to shut everything down but the songwriting. If that wont carry the site, then nothing is going to.
It is not going to be saved by more AI songs. They will just go unseen in a galactic haystack of songs.
Telling people who are attacked to hit the "ignore" button is also pointless.
Nobody wants to come to a site where the "village idiot" may be attacking them and they dont even see it.

This is a songwriting site. If it cannot flourish as a songwriting site and relies on unrelated arguments to stay alive...it's not really staying alive.

The reality is that a site about religious arguments, political arguments and personal insults... is what is actually staying alive.

So you really are as dumb as these other guys say you are. You haven't given a dime. You are still here. Marty gave money and asked for you to be deleted. You are still here. So yeah, that sure supports your theory.

I am happy to nuke you if you'd like. But fair warning, once out, it is much less likely you can get back in. Even Couchgrouch is having issues logging in and I had to reset him. The site is broken and donations so far won't extend us beyond this year. I have downloaded the site, so at least I have a copy, but to fix all the stuff that Google and other tech companies keep breaking with changes to their browsers and search enginesis not cheap to keep up with and now there doesn't seem to be a trusted source to fix this specific board any more. The company that built it doesn't respond. They only want to direct host and rent their board now.

So most likely you'll get your wish and we will disappear like all the others. But if it makes it to a permanent archive somewhere then it will all be worth it.

The music forums should be on top, instead of featuring Christianity forums.

The only discussions about money here are when it is brought up by one of you (you are constantly worried about money money money, when you never donated a dime. You claim we only support those who donate. Please show me this special treatment? The list of donors is there. Most of them do not even post here, but they appreciate the other places we support our active members. The board is the beneficiary. It was a non user here who paid most of the money to keep this alive this year. Board users weren't enough. The regular usual suspects who donate each year (again, their names are all listed) are never the trouble makers or "S H I T" posters or trolls, they are almost always the friendly and helpful few. You are not restricted in any way. This complex you have worrying about donations is quite odd when none of it is your money. You are a taker, not a giver. What efforts have you made to be positive and useful here? I have given you one chance after another to be a positive, helpful, useful member. Mostly you just whine and complain on posts like this. Each time you DO post about something else, you are still right back here and elsewhere fighting with someone, or complaining.

Be a part of this positive change you claim you want. I would be happy to add boards, IF there is a need. The only reason we have 3 lyric boards is because people used to NEED them to keep stuff on page one. Because they are full of posts, I have left them but there isn't really a need for 3 anymore. We have readers and lurkers, but not many people posting. For another "AI" forum to be added, we would need posters and responders to make it useful. If you can find 10 people who state they need another AI board, I would be quite surprised. But give it a try. I just don't see the interest. And frankly 10 people is a really low bar. I just looked and the bottom post on page 1 of the AI board was made in March! That clearly proves there isn't a need yet. If traffic picks up, I am happy to add whatever.

As for the other boards, most users go directly to the board they frequent. That means they never even see the list of boards. We get internet traffic on every single board every single day. So there is no benefit to changing. In fact, because our content is so stable, we get way more traffic. I am not running ads, but I view this site as a collection of documents recapping this century. That is it's #1 value. If I added ad's. we likely could easily pay for the site, but I have taken the loss to keep it as clean as possible. I would love to add functionality, but I am not willing to invest more with zero avenue to recoup the investment. If those who DO use the site are unwilling to contribute, then I can't do more. I have put nearly 40 years into running a free organization with a free message board, thousands of free live events in 42 countries and over 1000 different cities and neighborhoods in the USA and Canada. I have done free to enter music awards which saw over a million songs submitted. I think I have put my actions, time and effort into this enough to expect some folks to chip in to pay for this message board. You say I only come here and do all this to ask for money. That accusation is so laughable and deranged it could only come from an idiot or a troll. Or perhaps both.

You have never mentioned money directly but it's clear who you favor more. I'd say last few years, you make an announcement every now and then, that the site needs money.

And you did ask me in email for a donation. I assume it's cause there not many people left to ask.

There needs to be value , I don't see it with politics vs and religion threads. I don't mind them in smaller sections.
