Well, that's the view from my couch... you just can't see the TV up on the wall. Seems to me, I've always been able to have a lot more fun with my hobby than any of you... Zero overhead, AND I TAKE 100% CREDIT
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE... CANCEL CULTURE IS ALIVE AND WELL @JPF! YOU'LL NEVER KNOW WHAT'S ALREADY BEEN DELETED...
The best thing you've ever done was marfa plain, hands down.
It is easy to get self absorbed, but I think that what SUNO elected to do here is real good, human or not. But you can tell me where the song comes up short.
Its great at phrasing , very emotional and powerful in chorus. If I'm totally honest I think the buildup before the chorus is kind of cluttered attempts jg to cram the words in.
The chorus where was I, and your going to say no way. But listen to this song, give it some time and see if it don't seem similar, still different and different genre
But I believe ai will take what's successful and borrow it.
Remains to be seen if it will ever be original.
But I can see why you are excited by this, it does sound great.
I did about 20 takes. This was my fav and there was not a close second. I converted it from male-centric to female-centric. That conversion and it's interaction with SUNO caused some syllable and pronunciation glitches. Fairly minor. I was afraid that if I got in a hurry to try to fix them, that I'd ruin the take, so I went ahead and made the video in order to post it a few places today.
This weekend, I am going to see if I can smooth out the lyrics without changing the arrangement. If I can, I will then break out the stems and put them in the DAW, maybe do some level adjustments, a little toning, and set the output for streaming. Once done, upload to Distrokid.
I love the song. It's gorgeous and emotionally piercing. It hits in the same general emotional space that mine does. The set up is somber and low key, the chorus break is stridently emotional and melodic.
Totally agree, same kind of song about the same type of human circumstance.

Robot Marty
Could argue it has the same high points .pressing buttons with certain inflections and cadence's
I've done 20 takes just for a pre chorus. Just to find one that goes into and out of the section somewhat naturally.
It's not that's there's no work involved in this, that in itself is worthy of credit.
But I also think musicians have better ears and hear better melodies etc
This could win awards sung by a signed artist...great passion and hook and lyrical development
This was really AI doing its thing? Wow

Sounds human to me Marty
that's the problem, I compete with this . Sounds good man. You payed a penny , I paid 500.00
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop
Yes, I did write the lyrics. And did a version of the song with MZ a few years ago. But it did not sound like anything even close to this SUNO production...from 14 broad words.

It's a calculator of possibilities, we have same processes but way slower. If you try enough possibilities one is likely to hit.
But if course it wouldn't sound anything like a million dollar recording...
Instrumentation, arranging, engineering, production, performance, vocals .as a hobbyist what chance would you have of matching that.
That said, the song is the song. If your lyrics and prompts spurred.. that, roll with it.
But I think in the end the better songs are what makes the difference.
I used to say anyone can buy a recording...now they don't even have to buy it.
But that's going to change, prices are gonna get ridiculous soon .
