This is much closer to how I wrote it. I expected Tom Petty, but did not expect The Byrds my back pages or mmr tambourine man...lol

It means every song it does is borrowing from something.

I still prefer my own, I just can't record like this.

What y'all think ?

Genius in Jeans

Well, she's a genius when she walks
a genius when she talks
a groove so sweet
She could make world peace
and everybody grows
from all the things she knows
she's a genius in jeans
she's a genius
and it's rubbin off on me

I saw her at that brand new Target store
Reaching for the top row
go one more
She glided down and said
"Man , these ain't cheap"
I said '"I only got a peak"
She walked away with heels like
death's been beat
I'd love to live forever at her feet
I let her go, but hey yo, I don't know...
I saw her intellect glow

Well, she's a genius when she walks
a genius when she talks
a groove so sweet
she could make world peace
and everybody grows
from all the things she knows
she's a genius in jeans
she's a genius
And it's rubbin off on me

Next week at the mall
and there she goes
breaking up a fight
between two big bros
All she had to do
was walk on by
They had denim in their eyes

Now, she's creating jobs here in this town
She could run for Mayor
Win hands down
she could solve a problem
One, two, three
Can you feel the relief?

She's she's a genius when she walks
a genius when she talks
a groove so sweet
She could make world peace
and everybody grows
from all the things she knows
she's a genius in jeans
she's a genius
And it's rubbin off on me

Well, she didn't go to Harvard
but she's a bachelorette
a master of movement
a doctor of sweat

She's a genius when she walks
a genius when she talks
a groove so sweet
She could make world peace
and everybody grows
from all the things she knows
she's a genius in jeans
she's a genius
and it's rubbin off on me

I wish AI would advance to a point where it will do what you want as opposed to you settling for what it wants.

That was my biggest crit of band in a box, it was merciless in doing what IT wanted. Least with AI you can generate 500 takes to find something suitable.

But what people think as great music with suno and Udio is just great sound and performances and production.

If everybody had a weak song they'd all be level. But the better the lyric, story, emotion the better overall song .

Melody Wise too.

But I can't record something that SOUNDS as good as this

Sure ya can , just building tracks , Use Suno as template. just takes work

1/ lay a acoustic part down
2/ real bass player and drummer
3/ sing it
BGV's
4/ other instruments
5/mix it

Make a stand against robots.

You'll have less time for politics and religion

Ahh you can still get a decent sound on your own . Depends who you use to get it all done . But your happy playing on Suno , I'm not going to change your mind .

I'm not using suno, and I'm not happy that I can't be influenced by Petty without BEING Petty

Erie how it came out like Tom Petty and without me trying. I guess it knows melodies and structure and styles

Cost just one factor. But if you have 25 songs what makes more sense? Spending 1500 for each song, or paying next to nothing for any of them?

Particularly when there is no demand for your music

It's the work and time involved at home that scares me.

We always get in the same rut , You have to promote your self as the artist . 1500 is a bit high . Basic with 4 to 5 pro session players is about 500 or so and you sing it . Yes we all know Suno you can not promote as an artist is penny's. Yes it scary . but rewarding. So that song is using a Hammond Organ bass drums electric guitars and BGV's . 5 session players would do it , or 4. The trick is a great guitar player like Nicky V , he can also chart it out . it's not that much work really. Time consuming , yes

Had A listen and for me it is too long ever though I think it was decent and pleasing to the ear and the lyric really kelp my interest with it's story line for line. To be honest I wanted to hear this song again. I like the vocal take and over all performance. Nice song.

Hey Irwin how's it going?

Yeah, I agree it might be too long, I'm not happy with the bridge. I think the chorus is killer. I actually think I could revamp this with my own musical take and beat this version.

But I may not get the recording quality.

Appreciate you stopping in my friend. Hope your music is going well.
