She walks us through halls of shame Pictures of love like ghosts remain Whispering walls of distant cries Tears that fall from her weary eyes V2 The floors creak from old regrets Warm memories she can't forget Candles flicker shadows dance Empty rooms from lost romance Ch Take the tour of her broken heart A cold museum torn apart Buy a ticket earn your tears Guide yourself thru all the fears Step right up If you can bare the shattered parts Take the tour of her broken heart V3 Doors slam the echos get loud Thunder rolls from darkened clouds Windows show the storm inside Where her deepest sorrow hides Ch Bridge She tries to escape from her house of cars But gets dragged back in it's just to hard Ch Step right up Step right up If you can bare If you can bare The shattered parts Take the tour of her broken heart
A really nice sad song melodically--especially chorus. I really like how your last chorus lifts with your vocals which gives the song a nice climax. I do think the Bridge could digress a little more musically for digression & identity which IMO would even improve the effect when returning to that last chorus. You have a classic theme, yet you've coined your own expressions without being trite!
Well 2025 hits only use a 2 line bridge , So I follow them . Bare bones guitar vocal , no place to hide .Yes it could have got corny quick. Sad songs are tuff to do
I didn't imply Bridge was too short. You don't need to hide, your vocals are interesting--none of us sound have our youthful voices of 25 yrs of age--our voices are new instruments every decade! LOL!
