New co-write with Nashville producer, Gerry Peters: https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14937533 The World We KnowIt don't matter the color of a mans skin Where he's from or where he's been Or which God he puts his faith in What matters is his heart and the love within
It don't matter how long he's spent on this earth What the bank tells him he's worth Don't care if he votes red or blue As long as his conscience tells him what to do
Chorus: We need A little more common sense A little less party line A little less drinkin' the Kool-Aid A little less worryin' bout what's mine A little less religion and a lot more soul And we might get the world we want Stead of this world we know
Bridge: Does he reach out to those on the losin' end The homeless and the hungry in need of a friend Does he bury his head in the sand Or hold out a hand to his fellow man
Chorus We need A little more common sense A little less party line A little less drinkin' the Kool-Aid A little less worryin' bout what's mine A little less religion and a lot more soul And we might get the world we want Stead of this world we know

I enjoyed this. I think most of us could get behind the sentiment. Great melody and production. I have no suggestions, which is unusual for me LOL.

I love the underlying message of the song. Very well-written. The only thing I noticed was that the bridge has the same melody as the 3 verses. Not sure why you called it a bridge. Great song. I enjoyed listening to it.

Good song.... a sort of "I'm OK, you're OK" socio/political song anthem. This should make a lot of people feel good. Nice one.

Thank you, gentlemen. I appreciate your taking the time to check it out as well as your generous comments. This song was my reaction to the lunacy that has gone on since the election. It's just my opinion for what that's worth.

Hi Rich Nice sentiments which hopefully should be echoed repeatedly. Nice song. John
