When he thinks about Lennon Being murdered by a chapman He wishes all the bad would stop happening Times are changing But maybe not with him Greenwich Village ghosts haunt him Like bad rhythms like bad rhythms Ch Sometimes even Dylan gets the blues Times moving on, he’s fading from view He misses those long lost glory days Even now he’s trying to find his way It’s so hard living in different shoes Yeah sometimes even Dylan gets the blues sometimes even Dylan gets the blues v2 He was happier at seventeen When he could barely afford a sandwich Now he stumbles down a hall in his mansion He still remembers kids dying in Vietnam And why his music didn’t stop it sooner But he tried man he really tried man ch Bridge It’s alright ma I’m only bleeding A sad sad ballad is what the crowd is needing Ch
This is a great title that peaks instant interest, especially with the baby boomers and Dylanites.
I like the song and your raspy vocals and attitude which fits the vibe very well. I couldn't help thinking it "may" be better from a lyrical perspective being a ballad to have your 2nd vs be your 1st verse.........it reflects an earlier time and Dylan himself immediately - whereas bringing "Lennon" into the opening line feels more additional story than opening story. When that chorus hits, would like to hear a more dynamic drum track and maybe a longer interlude to launch the bridge better and give it more digressive & individual identity.
It rode on the coattails of that new movie , it got organic views on searches of Bob Dylan songs in keywords . I haven't seen the movie yet . Well its just a song , Net worth of 500 million , he probably don't get the blues . its alright , I'm sick of hearing it , I get bored easy
Hey Gavin. lucky there's a movie on Dylan now , or it might have been dated Thanks man, I'll wait for movie on Apple , suppose to be good on his early life
