My lyrics using Suno

Broken man
[verse]
I suppose I could blame my troubles
on the way that I was raised.
My father was an abusive man.
He had to have things his way.
[verse]
When he got to drinking, he got mean.
We soon learned to live in fear.
When he started to beat my mother;
I learned how to disappear.
[pre chorus]
Mother still loved him despite it.
When the cops came, she claimed she fell.
Growing up in my father’s house
Left my mother and I unwell.
[Chorus]
It takes a broken woman
It takes a broken woman
to love a broken man.
[Instrumental break]
[verse]
Your mother and father were addicts.
They left you alone for days.
An uncle you trusted abused you
and treated you as his slave.
[verse]
He told you; you would learn to love him.
that you needed to obey.
You played the game till he dropped his guard.
then managed to slip away.
[pre chorus]
Something has died inside of you.
You are just as broken as me.
Trust me I know what you’re feeling.
You are just as fragile as me.
[chorus]
It takes a broken woman
It takes a broken woman to love a broken man.
[bridge]
Trust hasn’t come easy.
after what we’ve been through.
Love doesn’t come easy
but I’m learning with you.
[Outro]
it takes a broken woman
to love a broken man.

Wow, Carroll.... This one hits close to home for many, I'm sure. I like what you've started with here.
Suno did a good job playing around these lyrics, but if it's ok with you, I'd like to take a stab at tweaking a few lines.
Would you mind?

Peace,

Dave

Sure I don't mind. Don't get on this site much anymore because of Mr. Negativity.

Hey Carroll,

Here's my take on your song: (as always, KOS)

Broken man

[verse]
My troubles started early
from the time that I was raised.
My father was abusive
my mother seemed unphased

[verse]
The drink brought out the worst in him.
I always lived in fear.
When that demon showed to beat my mother
I learned to disappear.

[pre chorus]
Mother's love for him was strong.
She could keep her secret well
I grew up in my father’s house
while my mother lived in Hell

[Chorus]
It takes a broken woman
It takes a broken woman
to love a broken man

[Instrumental break]

[verse]
Your mom and dad were addicts.
You were left alone for days.
An Uncle took you in
but he gave in to evil ways

[verse]
He said you would learn to love him
that you needed to obey
You played along until that time
you escaped and slipped away.

[pre chorus]
A part of you is dead inside.
It's not too hard to see
I know exactly what you’re feeling
and I'm sure we can agree

[chorus]
It takes a broken woman
It takes a broken woman
to love a broken man

[bridge]
Trust is gonna take some time
after all that we’ve been through
Love will not come easy
but I want to try with you

[Outro]
It takes a broken woman
It takes a broken woman
to love a broken man

Peace,

Dave

I outgrew my nightmares
The night they took me away
Flashing lights and badges
Intruders with nothing to say

Beer cans and TV dinners
Littered the scene, the crime
Blood spatter and shotgun shells
Burned into my mind

If I seem a little distant
Please try to understand
I once knew a broken woman
Who loved a broken man

My tolerance for pain
And disregard for fear
Is just the quiet in my head
Where I learned to disappear

My long hair and makeup
Hid the bruises well
Sunglasses and a scarf
Just another day in Hell

If I seem a little distant
Please try to understand
I once knew a broken woman
Who loved a broken man

My mother's broken body
The rage always lingers
The surprise on Daddy's face
The night I pulled that trigger

No man will ever touch me
I'm really doing well
I'm in complete control
In my 6x9 cell

If I seem a little distant...

The journey is definitely more important than the destination...
