Hearts Softly Weep.
The sky was ominous
Overcast and grey
Hurricane Helene
Was heading Carolina way,
In fearful minutes
The wind turned vicious
Rain became incessant
Cruel and judicious.
Chorus
Hearts weep for the loved ones
So tragically gone
Hearts weep for survivors
And the strength to go on,
Their path is dark
Painfull and steep
For each despairing soul
Hearts softly weep
The storm grew intense
Rivers rose quickly
The raging water
Exuded no mercy,
Homes swept away

Leaving eerie foundations
Death and debris.
