Hi Folks,
I am not interested in paying subscription fees for video and photo editing software. Who here uses software for video and photo editing, even for fun? I have recently bought a green screen and want to start broadcasting on several channels on YouTube. I have guested on several shows over the years, but I want to start back on our JPF Youtube channel as well a couple others I own.
I just downloaded "DaVinci" which is free, but I am already having trouble getting it to work. I also need to edit the YouTube cards for videos.
Thanks, Brian

Windows and Apple cross platform OpenShot is open source and free and easy to use https://www.openshot.org/I have used it myself. Essentially you import files in to the software then assign them to time tracks, then when done you export a combined file into one of a number video file types. Time tracks are simply a "track", and you use one for each element. The time track simply instructs the snippet file (sound, video, picture etc) when to come in and when to exit. So you would have a least a video and sound track going, but you could string several videos or songs together using a seperate time track for each. The time tracks are stacked so at any one time, you can see what snippet files are playing. You can preview the work, then export the file into one of several formats. Real intuitive if you have experience with various types of software, It is open source and free so no harm in seeing what it looks like for you
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop
