Wrote this this morning when I couldn't sleep. I can't write pop without a touch of rock. I listen to today's hits and I think why would I want to write that. Cuz we love music, simple equation really , all the wars on AI or streaming % , don't concern me or probably you , rock on brother. The frustration comes from lack of recognition and $$$$$. Well there is to many songs , to a limited amount of artists who cut outside songs . I'm thinking a lot are keeping most in the small circle of Nashville staff writers getting the cuts .As you know Publishers do not except AI songs , for whatever reasons. I imagine legitimate publishers with any real ( clout) might be chasing indy artists for cuts, with a small steam of nickels and pennies .
