I have composed a melody for this lyric by Dan Brady. Rough recording: my voice + ukulele. https://soundcloud.com/user-380042223/the-wee-bird-ukeWARNING: you can listen to ANOTHER MELODY generated by SUNO for this lyric. Hmmmn... Which version came first, Guy? It seems to me that the rhythm of the SUNO version doesn't quite fit... So, you tried to fix it with your ukulele Interesting lyric, Great Job!
The journey is definitely more important than the destination...

I like it Guy. What's the copyright on Dan Brady? My wife likes the suno version and wants to sing it at Friday Open Mic downtown.

The Suno version sounds very smooth and professional but it's not able to sense when to increase its intensity. The lyrics of the chorus seems to call for a shift to a defiant mood, a break from the tone of the verse. Is there a way to tell the robot that? (I'm sure that if Bill's wife sings it, she won't need told LOL)

@japov these are 2 different versions. Mine was first. I like the melody of Suno but I prefer the melody of my chorus.
@Bill If your wife sings it, please try to get a recording and put it here. Dan Brady told me that he liked my version before the Suno one.
@Gavin I don't try to understand what Suno can do. I like the arrangement but I still prefer to make my own melodies.
Have fun! Nota: English is not my first language... Forgive me for my mistakes... I speak and think in french.

Me thinks the suno version came first, Guy never picks on his Uke lol.
The suno version is really good I think might have a little blackbird in it.
But it's a pretty lyric, that's why it was turned into a nice tune.

I have worked on my own melody before asking Suno to generate it's melody.
Someone on Muse wrote this: That's great, Guy! Interesting to compare the real version and the fake version. Thanks.
It's more fun to get my own melody than let it done by AI although it may sound better...

It's more fun to get my own melody than let it done by AI although it may sound better... Well, my wife is outspoken/reactive regards the fake and phony of the world. The internet abounds. But i continue to spend time with the fake and phony, and I played the suno version of this song for her, and wonder of wonder ..she like! So now I'd like to explore both versions of this poetic iteration The Wee Bird....and I thank Guy and Brad for allowing access. Guy has charted his melody. I'll start with that. Next I'll go figure the chords and melody of the suno. I like this project personally, because it is at the very intersection of computer generated and real people generated. Of course the computer is just an extension of human. But the song must come through to humans to achieve its artistic realization. Keep it simple and singable....and take ye to a open mic!
