We never made it all the way V Cold morning mist replaced the summer sun most trees are bare since autumn begun it's run How many times have we walked through this park? Never dreamed it'd come to this, but got it wrong C We never made it all the way did we? You had to choose that well worn line, need to be free. We never made it all the way did we? In no uncertain terms, theres no more you and me We never made it all the way did we? I'm alone now so lost in my thoughts of you So go on tell me,what do I do to be free? V I still tread the same paths, the same folks walk by an old lady said, on your own? Don't mean to pry Told her you'd gone away for a short while, when she walked on, I wiped tears from my eye.
B The old man with the cute dog, the woman who feeds the birds Smiled and waved as usual. The wind gathered up, blew an eerie chill was that your voice that I heard?
C Music
V Got back home avoiding our little Caffè Where we'd sit from a walk pass a hour away I'd tell lies saying this is my last goodbye. need you more than I can forget you each day

Hey Travis,
How are you doing? I haven't seen you in forever, though it says you have been online here?

This is exceptional writing, and IMO would be a great song....you take the reader along with you as you tell your story...because so many of them relate to your words...and you tell that story in a plain speaking manner...
These lines really stand out for me...says it all in few words You had to choose that well worn line, need to be free.
And the small bits of memories...superb
This is one of the best lyrics to grace this site in some time
Thank you for posting
Steve
