I'm half blind, I've got a bad right hip, arthritic knees and ankles, and I'm allergic to NSAIDs... So, yesterday, I thought I'd buy a bicycle and try to get some exercise.

It started raining right when I put my old truck in gear...

I took it as a sign from God smile

The "old" bring discipline.
The "young" bring change.
The "humble" bring wisdom.

Creators of music have a responsibility to their craft. When they have finished using all the notes and words, they must pass them down to the next generation with a simple request. “Use these to create new music.”...Steven McDonald

Whores on flying lions , is not exactly something to look forward to. and nothing to do with Good News . I guess God got all the hookers and gave them a job. Probably supervised by Richard Pryer .

A good time I guess , them stories are more depressing then my 3 divorces. Well political correct is escort. That girlfriend experience will cost you alot more .Which usually where you end up after a few divorces. Rent a Marriage. Well i guess i'm sick of this bs , Lets try a forth marriage. By then , you should have obtained 100 country songs and a diploma by Comedy Central. A judgment letter from people who walk on water , with a closet full of skeletons , that would scare Steven King

Is 5.0 your A1C? If it's your blood sugar, you should be dead.

here are the 2
A blood sugar level less than 140 mg/dL (7.8 mmol/L) is normal
Mine is mmol/L

Then you must be Type 2 Steve? I wasn't aware of different ways to measure blood sugar. My wife's been a diabetic for 60 years. Her A1C is always around 6.8. She's 77 also.

Congratulations Steve! Yes, she's type 1. Been on insulin 60 years. Been on the pump about 30 years. Sensors, just recently. She never had a weight problem. She's all of 104 lbs. She fights it every day, like you.

Weight loss almost always cures type 2.

It's an American disease, bottom line we eat too much.

Congrats to all who have beaten it

Thanks for the encouragement..
You never beat diabetes...you only hope to control it and pray it hasn't done to much damage to all your organs..I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet so I have to keep the diabetes under control or I just might lose them

Yes, you always have it but, weight loss does what insulin can't.

The medical profession wrongly believe insulin replacement is the answer. It's not low insulin it's that the body doesn't use insulin right. So you could shovel in all the insulin you like it won't go where it's needed.

Weight loss allows the body to use it and send around the body.

I never knew anything about it, until about 15 years ago, people were getting it like gangbusters.

I found my brother in law on the floor passed out in his house. Nobody answering the door, I found key under the mat. Walked in and saw him passed out.

My first ever encounter with it. I didn't know what was wrong but called 911.

Type 1 is genetic, type 2 is caused by being overweight.

Lose weight and immediately numbers improve.

My bro in law also has neuropathy.

Best to stay with it,good luck

Woop Woop YAY! smile

I haven't even bothered to check mine in quite some time now.
However, I've certainty cut sugar/carbs/salt from my diet...
And, I've recently found an adult "cruiser" bicycle with a seat that fits my 230lb ass.

230 is pretty good for me grin

I think every household should have a diabetes test kit and a blood pressure unit...even if they are in perfect health...early detection saves lives

Yes weight loss and diet are important. But insulin is truly a wonder drug. My wife wouldn't have made it through her teenage years without it. She found out she had diabetes when she went into a coma, with a blood sugar of 1200. She's always been thin and watched her diet.
