My fellow members, I've found this video on YouTube very interesting and decided to shear it with you all. To me some really good or I may say great points have been made in this video but you may have your own view or comments (and that's okay)
100% correct...I have posted here and on other site forums pretty well what this fellow is saying here
-AI is no different than humans when learning -you can't sue for learning -RIAA is suing to find out how AI learns -RIAA want clarity on the law so they can't be sued later -this is only about making money and not about protecting artists
We can get indignant about what AI is doing but IMO what is happening now by AI is not covered under copyright law
Creators of music have a responsibility to their craft. When they have finished using all the notes and words, they must pass them down to the next generation with a simple request. “Use these to create new music.”...Steven McDonald
The best "Pseudo" and "UsedRadio" can do is make you sound just like everyone else.
What's the point of that?
Yeah, and when you're playing blues guitar, how do we know it's even blues?
Cause it's all been done before.
Bingo. Robots mimic. Humans create. A robot is never going to "breathe new life" into the blues... but the "industry" will continue doing what it has always done.

But it's not blues without I IV ,V, not blues without the standard 12 bars blues, it's not blues without hard times and struggles. It's not blues without women did me wrong,
If you have an ear for music, you can hear subtle difference in two people playing the same blues bit.
But you don't get much to stretch out with, because too different it's not blues any more.
But I agree, so is the past. So is most music though
I'm convinced that this legal case is going to be too detailed and twisting for me to understand and predict. I am also convinced that the guy in the video's opinion is worth no more than mine.
He says that there is no foul until publishing takes place. Another viewpoint (that may or may not hold-water) is that if UDIO made money off of 3rd party users or advertisers modeling Michael Buble's voice, then whoever owns the rights to MB's performances is due a cut.
There will be all sorts of gumballs saying what will happen based on self serving motives or merely just blathering. There were all sorts of gumballs saying that Trump had no right to due-process when CO took him off the ballot. Even I could see no-due-process. A Yale law school professor filed an amicus brief in favor of CO before SCOTUS shot it all down. At this point people expressing an opinion are merely saying what they want to happen.
Even the judge and the attorneys on both sides dont know how this will end up. It's a wait and see.
And it may settle. Unless UDIO and SUMO have the cash to fight it and try to get it thrown out, they may have to settle.

Demo studios may be hurt the most if AI undercuts them. Major labels are not satisfied with practically owing all the airplay royalties for airplay on radio, now this. It's a wonder why anyone wants to be a songwriter.A musician can at least show off their skills playing an instrument, become a poet and publish books. LOL

That's a safe bet. And it is amazing to behold now, but you can still hear an artificial quality when you listen, but that will change. As will the control over the components in the song become increasingly refined and nuanced.

People still want to go out to a live show on Saturday night. But the main objective of the majority of people...is to be entertained.
If that can be achieved by some dazzling light/music/video arts display, where the humans just set up the hardware? Think "The Wall" shows without the Pink Floyd guy and his band. Think big time disc jockeys with large followings replaced by HAL.
But people will always insist upon live musicians? Question: Do they support them now or insist on their music for free or almost free? Yet, many are willing to pay $300 for a lousy seat at a Taylor Swift concert. Baffling.
Foreword from the book "Born To Run" by Bruce Springsteen
"DNA, natural ability, study of craft, development of and devotion to an aesthetic philosophy, naked desire for . . . fame? . . . love? . . . admiration? . . . attention? . . . women? . . . sex? . . . and oh, yeah . . . a buck. Then ... if you want to take it all the way out to the end of the night, a furious fire in the hole that just ... don't ... quit ... burning.
These are some of the elements that will come in handy should you come face-to-face with eighty thousand (or eighty) screaming rock'n roll fans who are waiting for you to do your magic trick. Waiting for you to pull something out of your hat, out of thin air, out of this world, something that before the faithful were gathered here today was just a song-fueled rumor. I am here to provide proof of life to that ever elusive, never completely believable "us'. That is my magic trick. And like all good magic tricks, it begins with a setup. So ..."
I would like to demonstrate with this topic some of Springsteen magic tricks, something out of the ordinary, something exceptional, something good from his long long career for which he should be remembered forever
its a tool , You have to track ideas with real players . You'd can't download Stems , It's a one pony track with the voice ,in the background, you can't mix each stem

Right now that may be true. Going to get better
I think we'll see individual ai session players.
So as opposed to ai generating the whole arrangement, it can generate parts for your song.
Who cares if you can mix it or not? Who is asking this to be that?
Well if you had individual tracks in stems , you could mix in a more professional manner . AI is not mixing all them tracks in 5 seconds . Yes I Imagine if Sony don't shut them down... individual tracks in stems, might be available. The mass users are probably hobbyists, is my guess and not concerned with professional mixes.
I'm kinda busy dealing with professionals , But yes i make money , So I am concerned with professional mixes. the typical user , I'm assuming is just doing AI for AI sites , I really have no idea the scope of all users and their goals

Cd sales ? they trickle in . AdSense is what your talking about on (generating money). that's a pay -out when it reaches a threshold , Usually about every 6 months . it's still hard to navigate better results , Trial and Error . To survive in a changing economy . You need multiple streams of income.
The topic was AI , Not promotion . AI has its pitfalls. Which I outlined . You could take 10 versions of one song . Look for production aspects , then drag the ideas in the studio with session players and complete the song . Say one version has a cool guitar lick coming out of verse one ,Take that and add to the building blocks . That's much what a producer would do with a bunch of session players in a studio. This works , this don't ect.
