I’m slowly learning how to get more out of Suno, the AI-based songwriting tool. You can actually define the structure of your song (intro, verses, chorus, bridge, interlude, etc.) including catchy hook lines, breaks, etc. They call them meta-tags. And I learned how to achieve backing vocals too. Here’s what my first song with meta-tags sounds like. I wrote the lyrics in 2007. The song is called “Raining In My Heart”. The hook works really well. Raining In My Heart (with meta-tags) https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14810849[Verse] I spent the day alone here in my bed These thoughts of you keep rushing through my head I can't describe how much I miss you Right now I only wish that I could kiss you I'm kinda of lost and don't know what to do Oh how, how I miss you [Chorus] Just yesterday you said it's over I thought that we would never part Since we know that it's all over [Catchy Hook] Ooh, it's raining in my heart Ooh, it's raining in my heart Ooh [Verse] I have to deal with this thing on my own (ahh ahh) If only I could call you on the phone (ahh ahh) In the future there may come a brighter day When skies turn blue, clouds fade away I have to learn to go my own way Go my, my own way [Chorus] Just yesterday you said it's over (It’s over) I thought that we would never part Since we know that it´s all over (It’s over, all over) [Catchy Hook] Ooh, it's raining in my heart Ooh, it's raining in my heart Ooh, it's raining in my heart [Bridge] Without you my life is so incomplete What I feel now is so bitter sweet I'm ok, I'm not complaining This situation feels so draining I'm sure the pain will soon start waning I should try to stop complaining [Build] Now that we're so far apart it's raining in my heart [Break] [Chorus] Just yesterday you said it's over (it’s over now) I kinda felt it from the start (It’s over) Now that I know that it's all over [Catchy Hook] Ooh, it's raining in my heart (raining in my heart) Ooh, it's raining in my heart (in my heart) Ooh, it's raining in my heart (raining in my heart) Ooh, it's raining in my heart Lyrics: Robert Baitinger

I like what is happening here from an AI perspective compared to even a few months ago...there is a fuller sound with a little bit of background tracks which you mentioned....I like using a lot of instrumentation in my songs which seems to be starting with AI...IMO it's what is happening in behind the rhythm tracks and vocals that takes a song to a different level, all the little bits of ear candy..it will be interesting to see where AI goes with those aspects of a song..and it will get there.
Nicely done Rob
Steve

Hi Steve, I posted the meta-tags that I used within my lyrics above. You can also see the background vocals I defined. I hope this helps others who use Suno to get better results. It is possible to define the chord progression and instrumentation with meta-tags as well, but I haven't tried that out yet. I love this song but wish the sound quality could be better. I can't wait to see how these AI tools will evolve in the next couple of years.
All the best - Robert

i may be wrong but I've written a couple of hundred songs and produced about 50 of them..in the future I should be able to upload all my lyrics and songs to my own AI and produce future songs ALA Steve McDonald???

Hey Rob Here's something scary....let's say the estate of John Lennon is offered a new lyric and they want AI to recreate his voice, as I'm sure they already have done so, and he puts out a new #1 hit...can you IMAGINE that...LOL

Hey Steve, you simply record or upload an audio with your vocals and AI will make it sound like John Lennon within seconds with exceptional realism. You can also create an AI cover song, performed by your selected voice. Don't IMAGINE it, just do it: https://lalals.com/voice/john-lennon/All the best - Robert

That's a good song Rob B. Sounds great! Thanks for the illustrating the meta-tags. I gotta try that! Bill
