Frankly what I don't get is how your so invested I.n others work, but rarely show your own . Dom Let Mike do whatever he wants to do. Don't question it and find some negative way to frame him or question his motives. That ends up making him say eff this site. He provides more beneficial information than anyone else here. MAB used to also provide a lot but he appears gone. I hope that he is okay. Other than those two, its mostly turkeys gobbling at each other. I'm not questioning anything it's part of why he's leaving. And maybe you hit it on the head, he feels it's turkeys gobling st each other. Useful information to you is anything that doesnt say hey write better songs . John may have hit a nerve, purists will have a problem with ai What I don't want is my music being viewed as a boxed entity. I work on my Craft If it becomes a one size fits all tech experiment it's over fir me before it starts

Dom Be all that as it may...
Mike brings the most beneficial stuff here. No close second at the moment. Additionally he creates interest and positive participation in the site to a greater extent than anyone else. And he keeps the topic on musical interests.
If you, for whatever reasons of your own, discourage him from doing that, you deprive yourself and everyone else here of the benefit of what he brings.

I have no problem whatsoever with Mike, and agree. But mab did it too. The basic strategy is compliment everybody, make everybody think that everybody has talent. When you make people feel good they like you. That's why you don't like me. But if I have a business and I want to promote it, naturally everybody is great. Flattery gets you everywhere. I mean Mab suggested everybody move to Nashville. To get a cut that pays nothing. And regardless of the person has any talent to be the 1% Is that the useful info? My basic info would be be great. Dont suck Perhaps you need to examine why you like those ideas

I've made my point concerning Mike. Whatever you do is whatever you do. It's not my website.

"I mean Mab suggested everybody move to Nashville. To get a cut that pays nothing."
Wait a minute. I haven't even BEEN here in a long time and I have NEVER EVER SAID ANYONE SHOULD MOVE TO NASHVILLE! If anything I have tried to keep people FROM moving to Nashville. And I don't even talk about cuts. I have said you should VISIT Nashville if you want to see songwriting up close and personal, if you are interesting in building relationships, if you are interesting in making some contacts (for co-writing, NOT THE BUSINESS) and to get a sense of reality. Everything I have ever talked about here or anywhere is steps that you can take to make yourself a better songwriter. That is my whole focus, CERTAINLY not moving to NAshville ,and I have been the one saying for years that CUTS PAY NOTHING AND GETTING WORSE.
So you can leave me OUT of your comments because I have NEVER said any of that. MAB

It's alright I'm not mad at you Marty brought you up as Somebody' who has great info Why are you lurking why aren't you here being on the same level as anyone else? I remember you telling ray strode to go out and network that's how you'll break into the song writing business. The guy was like 80 years old who hadn't written a song in 30 years. I liked the guy Marty brought you up. But it's revealing. Watching the site die from afar. Be part of the solution Post your songs

I've made my point concerning Mike. Whatever you do is whatever you do. It's not my website. Id like Mike to stay, hes enthusiastic about stuff he finds interesting. and I dont have any issues with this or anything he's presented As a side not I mentioned what I did He disappears as if his presence here comes at a premium. Not sure why he doesn't share his music Not meant to be a negative just an observation

I don't have any issues with you other your advice is targeted at people who give a [naughty word removed] And if these people gave a [naughty word removed] they'd work on being better You seem to leave out that you need good music
