I have composed a melody for this lyric by Carroll Kiphen. Rough recording: my voice + ukulele. https://soundcloud.com/user-380042223/one-kiss-at-a-time-ukeONE KISS AT A TIME ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ © Lyrics: Carroll Kiphen, 2024. © Melody: Guy E. Trépanier, 2024. Intro: 4 bars (key of E) It took time to make an impression. Took a while to get a date. Got a lunch and then a movie. Couldn’t make it to first base. I knew I had to be patient. knew she’d been hurt before. I had to prove I was different. Show her she was adored. In time she would grow to love me. She’d see I was kind. I was gonna make her fall for me; one kiss at a time. She was slow to shed her suspicions. She’d heard some things about me. I made her and the kids some pizza. Slowly set her mind at ease. I knew I had to be patient. Knew she’d been hurt before. I had to prove I was different. Show her she was adored. In time she would grow to love me. She’d see I was kind. I was gonna make her fall for me; one kiss at a time. The first time was to say goodnight. The next one let her know. I didn’t want to be just friends. The third came with a rose. I knew I had to be patient. Knew she’d been hurt before. I had to prove I was different. Show her she was adored. In time she would grow to love me. She’d see I was kind. I was gonna make her fall for me; one kiss at a time. Yes, I made her fall in love with me one kiss at a time.

If you want to do a simple cover, here is a technical view of the song. ONE KISS AT A TIME ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++(3:06) tempo:112 © Lyrics: Carroll Kiphen, 2024. © Melody: Guy E. Hey Guy,
Thanks. That's amazing. The numbers to the right are the melody note detail. I like the melody and your vocal which I will attempt to duplicate. This is not going to be easy...but is why I will try. Catch you later. Bill

Catch you later. Bill Hey Guy and CK....I had some fun w this one. I decided to work with Guy's singing...I could not even come close to copy. So....I was able to pull the song into my Zoom R8....yeah. I experimented some with my Uke and bass...but final take....thought....just keep it simple. So...added some reverb to Guy's vocal, bumped a minimal bass, very light. And jangled my uke along w the song. But its Guy's vocal that is the best here. fun learning for me. Cheers. Hi Bill I love it the way you have improved the song with your arrangement.
Thanks a lot!
I can imagine a full production with a singer like Michael Buble. Have fun!

I agree nice overhaul, you can hear the strings and chords right there. Guy you have a good honest voice, my suggestion would be to work on the accents of words , dont stretch them into the song if they aren't supposed to be spoken that way...like accenting the wrong syllables.
It takes away from the honesty of your voice.
Bill nice job overhauling this. Id suggest working together more and expanding into different areas
Nice work all three of ya
