In a peculiar corner of the multiverse, there's a version of Earth where children gather, not for the boisterous clashes of metal and plastic, but for the war of wits between two robots: Lefty and Righty.
The arena is set, a child would twist the knob, and rather than fists, words would fly. Lefty, with his blue-tinted circuits, shouts, “Ever hear of climate change? Or did your batteries overheat?†Righty, with circuits as red as a conservative tie, retorts, “Ever hear of economic stability? Or did socialism blow your fuse?â€
Around them, the children giggle, not always grasping the full breadth of the quips, but enjoying the spectacle nonetheless. The arms of the robots, rather limply by design, barely sway. They are not meant for combat here, but for exaggerated expressions, gestures of mock outrage and faux surrender.
Leftbot leans in, "You must be programmed in binary, because all you understand is zeros and ones. Ever thought of upgrading to progressive algorithms?"
Rightbot fires back, "And you, with your constant updates, must have a glitch called 'taxation'. Running on feelings instead of logic, are we?"
Parents look on, some with amusement and some with mild discomfort, pondering if perhaps these toys have gone too far. But the kids? They just love the drama, the back-and-forths, the twisty turns of a political duel where no punches land, but words can sting.
It’s a game, a dance, an absurd theatre where two robots, stuck in their dichotomies, argue endlessly, their banter charged, a mirror to the grown-up world.

A fortunate people... a proud and forthright people... a victorious people... still fresh from battle and newly freed from tyranny and bondage. Finding themselves in an easily subdued land of their own..., they set forth a new and free nation. The elders among this thriving tribe, having the wisdom of experience, teach the young about the lamentable necessity of war. Even the children's toys are implements of destruction.
The children, as nature mandates, grow to adulthood and raise their own children much the same way. Generation after generation of warriors multiplied... but, the tyrannical enemy remained silent.
In complacency, and boredom, this progressive nation now battles amongst themselves. Yet, taking their freedom for granted, and lacking the wisdom of their forefathers, none can fully recall what they fight for...
Firstly, I'm disabled... So, I never fill my cart at the grocery store. I plan on quick trips once a week, never on weekends, just the essentials, so I can get in and get out... but I NEVER get a damn parking space up front. In fact, if you wait long enough, you'll see employees walk out to their vehicles, parked in the handicap spaces, have a smoke and a Coke, then stroll back in to work... Forget about the motor carts; They're always scattered all over the parking lot and dead as door knobs.
Once I finally make it through the front doors, from the back of the lot, with my cane in my wobbly and beat up buggy... I'm halted by a group of loudly laughing patrons blocking foot-traffic between the Christmas displays, discussing the price of eggnog and exchanging Thanksgiving photos. After about 30 seconds of politely waiting, I loudly clear my throat... They take the hint and I happily escape their boisterous banality. The victory is short lived however... as every frickin' isle is seemingly packed with relatives of the same heedless pedestrians.
At this point, presumably like most people these days , I habitually bypass all the overpriced inventory of seasonal crap that I used to enjoy, along with the bins of overstocked turkeys, and just settle for the minimal overpriced crap that I can get by with. Again, being the intelligent ape among zombies, I limit myself only to what will fit in the child seat of my battered cart to save time at check-out.
FUKK! Nobody can tell where the end of the line is at check-out...
Disgusted, I pull my cane from my buggered buggy, shove it somewhere over into women's underwear and limp away. Now, I console myself for parking in the farthest reaches of the lot... Leaving presents no challenge. Screw Bidenomics, screw Chinese imports, and screw Walmart!

Update... Got up at 0 dark thirty this morning and tried again... Still didn't get a parking space, but wasn't stupid enough to even try since all lanes were blocked by the slow moving elderly... patiently waiting... God bless'em... I parked in the back.
Much less of a crowd in the early hours... but, did I mention "slow motion"? I keep my eyes down, take a breath, and remind myself of the inevitability of life. Besides, relatively speaking, I still manage to grab what I need and head to check-out in a timely manner. I even lucked out finding a buggy that rolled straight.
"Self check-out"... The concept is valid, but the application...? Have you ever waited and watched an elderly woman in a motor cart at self check out? I couldn't stand it any longer... I limped foreword and bagged her groceries... she was very grateful.
Finally, my turn. After searching through the alphabetical options and weighing my single yellow onion, because the code sticker wouldn't work, the scanner had a change of mind as I removed it from the scale and rang it up twice... It only took me a second to look around and realize there was no one nearby to help. "Weight required" the screen demands... Screw'it, I weighed it again. Now, I'm leaning over my cart licking my fingertips trying to get enough friction to open the plastic bags correctly... I've had plenty of practice at this point so I'm getting pretty good at it; Not worried at all about how sanitary the practice is.... The rest of my items go without a hitch.
Almost Home! I insert my chipcard... "error". I remove and forcefully re-insert my chipcard and hold it in place... success. "How would you like your receipt" the screen asks? "You're already tracking every fukn' thing I do with this card," I mumble out loud... Why isn't there an option for "No receipt"? I choose print and leave it in the buggy for the sleepy greeter. "How would you rate our service" the screen proudly displays with happy yellow stars...? That's a no brainer.
It occurs to me that the eggheads responsible for the dysfunctional logistics regarding the daily management of a Walmart... can probably afford to shop at Publix.
I grabbed another onion on the way out... nobody noticed.
So delicious. Rudy gets nailed for 150 million dollars for lying about the Georgia election and defaming election workers.
I am sure it will never get paid, and that the amount ---which includes 75 million in punitive damages, was meant to send a very clear message to political operatives that the truth matters.
The BIG LIE has now cost Fox and G more than 1 BILLION dollars in court settlements, and there is more to come. Up next, Smartmatic and Mike Lindell (I expect at least another billion here) and various cases that involve January 6.
This gives me immense confidence in the US legal system....US courts totally destroyed any and all 2020 vote challenge arguments as unsubstantiated, and are now going after the "false electors", The BIG LIARS (those who actually instigated and ACTED on their lies), and those who followed in their footsteps to deprive American voters of their votes.
Even Trump must face and present the facts in court and his BIG LIES will catch up with him.
Outside the courtroom, his free speech rights allow him to continue his old lies and make up new ones, and it will be up to America to parse them.

Proper English should be taught in all public schools.
Standardized testing should be mandatory regardless of race or sex.

I was forced to retire from a life of military service and construction work seven years ago due to disability... So, I moved back home to Alabama and bought a 60y/o "fixer-upper" in Decatur to die in lol.
The last time I bought framing lumber, wall studs were $1.20ea. Now they're $3.60. OSB and nails are also rediculous. Now USAA estimates it would cost $180,000 to rebuild this house, so my insurance has jumped up. Add the "across the board" inflation wrecking the economy to that equation and all the retirement math I did seven years ago has gone straight down the $h!tter!
Bidenomics has forced me to sit my fatass in front of my TV and do nothing but eat chicken, and write songs about how fukin' stupid he is! So, don't worry... I'm not going anywhere... I have NOTHING better to do and I'M NOT ABOUT TO STOP!
