I have been using the blue snowball for outside recordings.
I have been posting my recordings and videos on you tube, but have not got in to the channels with that as much. Anything I should know with that? I am not a paid subscriber to a site yet.

Brian I don't maintain a channel. Anything I release through distribution is not only made available at Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, etc. but also on YouTube. So, if you were to search for Gavin Sinclair & The Mysterious Beings on YouTube, it brings up a playlist of all my released stuff. It can be played with the "video" consisting of the cover art. Distributors do this as default, unless you ask them not to. In theory, you get paid per stream, although I think YouTube is about the lowest payer of all streaming services. The playlist is here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1aBU4zy9BiowfuLoQWp1UECShkNrIZs1I'd like to make a couple of music videos. I think it would be fun. If I ever get round to it, I'll put them on YouTube and maybe make a channel.

I have a channel. I dont go live or anything.
I dont know anything for certain about going live.
I suggest using a decent condensor mic and a digital interface.
In the economical range, I suggest Rode mics and the Focusrite by Scartlett.
If I was just going to plug in a computer mic, I would go to MICROCENTER or FRYS (if in your area) and see what they had.

I have an Audio Technica P45 that uses Phantom Power and does a pretty good job. However I just switched to the Blue Yeti about a month ago and I will not be looking back.
