Yep', took the plunge... Downloaded Solaria around noon, watched Rob's video again, took about an hour to familiarize myself with the controls, then spent the rest of the day fine tuning each and every syllable lol. What's really cool about the setup is you can write melodically on the fly. I came up with these words and just threw them at the program while I messed around with la la la's. Lots of fun! The piano is something I strung together the first time I used EZkeys years ago. Truthfully, EZkeys was much harder to get the hang of... I still wish it would let me synthesize my own voice though https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14651080Now I wake My eyes remain shut for a lingering moment Trying to recall another life Precious emotion eludes me As dawn bears its light Rain please wash the world clean Sun sleep and let me dream Life makes much more sense Absent consciousness My dreams fade… The inevitable day rattles my tranquility But subconsciously I’m still sane The moon and stars beckon me To peaceful slumber again Now I sleep

Ha! You posted minutes ahead of me! Enjoying this...beautiful song and singing. There's so many ways to approach the work. I'm going the route of globally changing the entire vocal "mode" for each phrase and saving/rendering many takes. Solaria's gonna be one busy lady around here, haha. But I'll be mixing it up with several others as I'll need a posse of AI singers to make an opera out of "Carnival of Souls." Got a third of the way through with OpenAI Jukebox, but after hearing Synth V singers, I'm starting over! --I'd be depressed about that, except my excitement for these new vocal possibilities has me pretty excited. Mike

I may have gone a little overboard with the timing lol... I tried hard to make her seem a little "off balance"... realistic. Oh well, first attempt, she'll still make a great backup singer

Yeah she would man . hmmm, Well now I feel like a idiot on AI , Well thats par for the course
Will AI replace musicians ? That's only possible because of artificial intelligence's ability to analyze human elements like emotion in music. AI isn't able to compose using its own emotions… Yet !!!
I guess I'm safe for awhile lol

I suppose the real question is... "Could AI have done that on its own?" If it does, when it does... WE'RE DOOMED!

Spotify exists because the music industry killed itself... People are far too creative and resourceful. The "industry" was never going to dictate what everyone gets to hear for very long. Especially since main steam media became so liberally biased and adversarial. Both my parents and little brother play guitar, piano, drums... We've been entertaining ourselves for literally as long as I can remember. In fact, my parents drop in here periodically... just to keep an eye on me

Spotify ? probably There's a few ways to crack a ROI , But here comes the but , its a intense study of formals , Its alot of work Email funnels, FB, Youtube , I haven't started yet and I'm already tired reading about it I'm sure I'll have to pretend to be somebody I'm not , That could be a problem You could be breaking the cowboy commandments on AI Its just new ideologies on how the worlds going to roll like Henry Ford and the Model T

It was an interview with Thomas A. Edison: “Talking of horseless carriage suggests to my mind that the horse is doomed. The bicycle, which, 10 years ago, was a curiosity, is now a necessity. It is found everywhere." Lol... hard to imagine folks turning their noses up at a car. Rob and Mike are right by the way... With modes and wave form editing, you can mess with Solaria for days Still very easy to get your head around though, especially if you already know how your lyric should be sung. that was my next thought . people with horses and were doomed well I guess you guys haven't let a robot write the lyrics yet , Give it 6 months , Take warm baths and let the robot do all the work So if the robot writes them are you going the blame the robots if it sucks, You think it be offended ? By the time all the catches on nothing will be done by humans and out playing miniature golf , Which I still is very challenging Funny stuff messing with robots for days

Now everybody has the same singer...
They already have the same bass lnez, etc as everyone else....
Ina biz that thrives on uniqueness,
I think one day I'm gonna click three sings, and they will be exactly the same....
I like your scary voice better than hers lollllll
And I find it hilarious these singers have names...
Ez keys can sound great but as you can see trying to make it a full sing doing what you want it to, is probably impossible....

I can point you to a huge number of songs that I wrote with EZ Keys. EZ Keys is a songwriter tool. Where do you get your information? Are you sure you know what you're talking about?

Never been to Nashville... drove through it a couple times... Growing up with HeeHaw and the Grand Ol'Oprey, and with very Country/Gospel parents, I always imagined "twang-town" as the red white and blue epitome of "Americana". From what I hear on the radio today, I guess it's just a mixed bag like everywhere else. Sure looks that way from the interstate... Probably sounds strange coming from an outdated 80's metalhead like me lol Nothing is sacred anymore... Funny, I always swore I'd never become like my parents... What were we talking about?

Hi Tony, this one is different because your guitars are not there. I like piano. Great job, no matter how you recorded it. The vocals sound cool. Very appropriate. As if you wrote this song for her. That AI software actually helps you during the lyric writing process because you can easily swap words and lines without recording the vocals again. You would like to synthesize your own voice? That's possible. Mike pointed me to this website. You send them your vocal track (sung by yourself or Solaria) and they synthesize it to Pink, Freddie, Ed Sheeran, Elvis, MJ, Lady Gaga, Elton, Mariah, Timberlake, Celine, Bruno Mars, Adele, McCartney, Sting, Axl Rose, Taylor, Bieber, Aguilera, Chris Martin, Whitney, Buble, Britney, Miley, Madonna, Ariane, etc. https://lalals.com/All the best - Robert

In other words, you can't sound completely like Elvis unless you're doing an Elvis impersonation. Then Lalals will take you the rest of the way. Otherwise, it'll just "kinda" sound like Elvis, using your voice, which means no lawsuits and totally legal! I'm very impressed with the quality and it really does change the voice quite a bit. You need to feed it clean, reverb free isolated vocal recordings for it to work really well. If you feed it out-of-tune singing, you will end up with out-of-tune singing in the selected style. This service also means that even if ten people here all started using Solaria, it doesn't necessarily mean that her voice will be the final voice we end up putting on our recordings.

Yeah', I'm sure there's going to be many different versions of this software to come lol... But, what I still want is the Synth itself. To perfect and/or alter my own voice. So I sound like a better me

Ben, Since Nashville has already done all the math, I'd bet a computer really could write a "Country" song. Solaria with a southern twang! lol

Yeah', I'm sure there's going to be many different versions of this software to come lol... But, what I still want is the Synth itself. To perfect and/or alter my own voice. So I sound like a better me What you would like Synth V to do doesn't sound very cost effective for them? That being to create a bank called "Tony" based on your voice? Or rather, for them to include "vocal voice cloning" as part of what Synth V does--except this is an innovation on the horizon--no one offers this yet! It's quite prevalent in online AI right now, but only for speaking voices. I image online voice cloning for singing has got to be on the horizon. But a workaround for now could be to use Melodyne? The only thing Melodyne doesn't do is create a vocal without you having to sing it first, which kinda defeats your purpose of wanting software to do dat. Otherwise all the "note fixing" is there in Melodyne. Okay...an elaborate workaround and you get it done your way. That way being, you enter notes into Synth V and you immediately eventually hear your voice? Lalals, apart from their normal service, offers a special service for a flat fee of 100 bucks: you can request a specific voice to be created, and in three days they will create that voice, provided they have enough vocal "data" to do so. What you could do is send them a folder of your isolated vocal tracks. There are many "anonymous" type singers already on the site. I have to wonder if that's what they did? Caveat: Your voice will ALSO be available for any "pro" member to use. Next step. Create a vocal in Synth V using an existing male singer such as Kevin, and for now, pretend it's you. Make Kevin sing like you, in terms of word pronunciation, dropping the "g" in words like "feeling" so that he's singing "feelin'" etc. Then you can upload the finished isolated track to Lalals and choose "Tony" (that's you!) from all the different voices and viola, you DID NOT sing it, and yet you have a finished version of the song with AI Tony singing it. A rather laborious workaround, I know, but at least I got my thinking cap on this morning, haha... Mike

When you put on headphones and listen to modern country (because the vocals are clearer) anyone who knows anything at all about recording can tell there's a lot more than a microphone, an Eq, and compressor going on there. That "enhancement", whatever it is, has become standard... and I can hear it in Solaria.
If I'm wrong... then I'm just stumped!
I want the synth, with all the controls... I want to know how that tone is generated.

Majors ? I bet . Alot going on in mixing. Well the whole production also Maybe $50,000 mikes I've asked a few experts in Nashville , what are they paying for a major production per song Never got a answer I don't get it either , its pro tools . Maybe a slew on pricey buttons I've recorded there County Q studios , But demo recording at 500 per song , whatever it was 20 years ago Paul was pretty tuff , After the song was done , he was pretty stern on the mix guy Nash charts in 20 minutes they had a groove , push record , a master they might spend days on nuances Like me here in San fran , A year to record a cd Steve Seskin was real picky on melodies , So he made sure they were right Paul the owner said "I'm going to chop wood on some mainly things These love songs get to me There was another studio I won a song contest , They flew me to Nashville to record it I can't remember the studio , or the song All I remember was praise the lord by session players
