Asked my old friend Louie and he said “let me guess, You’re only playing games to see what you can get” So I said “it’s worth the trouble, at my age you get ideas I speak fluent red head now, I’ve learned how to please”
They say sometimes you stall when you’re getting just a little bit old Well I’m not down and out I’m just walking a little bit slow
There’s a way to play the scene so you score that extra point Like saying she’s more beautiful than Helen of Troy Not that I knew her, I’m much younger than that But time’s taught me women love hearing something like that
They say sometimes you stall when you’re getting just a little bit old Well I’m not down and out I’m just walking a little bit slow
Wisdom and experience Are ageless ingredients With every kiss I gain more than I give Yeah her shoes are so right
Louie’s friend Eddie’s got a crazy eye You never know where he’s looking when a pretty woman’s passing by But I’ve learned to use it like a secret handshake among friends “cause when they start rolling, it’s time to zero in
They say sometimes you stall when you’re getting a little bit old Well I’m not down and out I’m just walking a little bit slow They say sometimes you stall when you’re getting a little bit old Well I’m not down and out I’m just walking a little bit slow Lets knock down the night go walking a little bit slow

Creators of music have a responsibility to their craft. When they have finished using all the notes and words, they must pass them down to the next generation with a simple request. “Use these to create new music.”...Steven McDonald
Thank you Tony and Steve. It's a fun one my wife really likes.
And a salute to Rikki Lee Jones in this lyric
V1 of her Living it Up
She's one special singer songwriter
Eddie's got one crazy eye that turns him into a cartoon when a pretty girl walks by and there's nothin' here to do anymore he sits on the stoop all day like there's something he's waiting for [naughty word removed]-finger Louie picks up Eddie in the alley he's got all those guys with him from that town where they all look like Frankie Valli they speak fluently blonde from her legs to her cigarette and Louie told Eddie that he'd fix him up
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop
As long as your arthritic fingers can still strum and pluck them old aged blues and your strung out... blowing a lung out vocals full of the seniority of the years of wailing, can belt out this kind of quality you can walk as slow as you want when you go to get your grammy. She's just down the street at a nursing home hoping for some dinner but hey, a man can dream can't he/ LOL great work I love it when you go postel in a bluesy way.
Since I'm still not singing, I've been messing around a bit in MIDI... This is just a little something I fell into and thought would really suit this lyric... https://soundclick.com/r/s8nv9l

My old friend Louie said “let me guess, You just play the game to see what you can get” I said “at my age I still get ideas and years of experience has taught me to love redheads”

There’s a way to play so you score that extra point Like saying she’s more beautiful than Helen of Troy Not that I knew her, I’m much younger than that But ladies ain't impressed with a cane and a hat
They say you stall when you get a little old Well I’m not down and out, I’m just walking... a little bit slow
Charm and persistence Are guaranteed ingredients For making ladies smile When those heels look just right... Oh Yeah'
Louie’s friend Eddie, he's got a wandering eye Looks a little crazy when the ladies walk by That's my opportunity to apologize Then I give a little wink, and tell a little lie
They say you stall when you get a little old Well I’m not down and out, I’m just walking... a little bit slow Oh, you should'a met me years ago honey I used to put on a real show Yeah' baby, Lets go walking... a little bit slow
The journey is definitely more important than the destination...
