Too competitive? So why try to compete? Film music is still a lucrative business. The film production companies have healthy budgets. The secret? It’s all about the product. If you’re doing electronic music, using samples and beats, then, there IS too much of that product available. Your music will be buried in a million plus tracks. Try to find your own niche. Hopefully one that there is less product available. Always consider moods and titles of your tracks. That’s what the music supervisors look for.
Oh, I see this was an old thread... oh well, still an interesting subject.
