Poolside Presents Page · Live Music Venue Poolside Presents is proud to present the annual Café Istanbul Nightfest in New Orleans! purplepass.com/istanbulnightfest
James Singleton – Bass Will Bernard – Guitar Brian Haas - Piano Mike Dillon – Vibes, Percussion Aurora Nealand – Vocals, Accordion, Woodwinds, Electronics James Evans – Woodwinds, Trombone James Singleton Bassist/composer/bandleader James Singleton was raised by a musician mother and began making music long before a time he can clearly recall. Based in New Orleans since New Year’s Day 1977 he has played with most of the biggest musical talents in names in town and collaborated with a wide spectrum of international artists as well. He continues his connection with the deepest traditions of New Orleans regularly, but has long shifted his emphasis to performing and recording his compositions: "In my music I concern myself with emotional depth first and foremost, but I want fresh sounds in a sense of narrative also. I need each piece to go somewhere, and for everyone to learn new things over repeat listenings. To this end, I surround myself with composers and players whose work I love." "If one man can do it, any man can do it. It is true. But the real question is, if one man did it, are you willing to do what it takes to do it as well?" –Brian Austin Whitney
