https://on.soundcloud.com/McSXYHoles V1 There’s a hole in the earth where rabbits hide; where they’re safe from the serpent’s bite. Where brave men go confess their fears and no one sees them cry. Chorus Whatever happened to heroes; whatever happened to saints? Whatever happened here on this earth to bring us so much hate? V2 There’s a hole in the earth where feelings go where a spirit once slept in peace; Where the meek still share love and pain and blind men learn to see. Chorus Whatever happened to heroes; whatever happened to saints? What ever happened here on this earth to bring us so much hate? Bridge Holes in the hands of the savior; holes in the fabric of time; holes that hide the secrets hidden from mankind. V3 There’s a hole in the earth where hope holds on to her wish for a brand-new day. Where no one doubts or questions why even the brave must pray. Chorus Whatever happened to heroes; whatever happened to saints? What ever happened here on this earth to bring us so much hate? Music & vocals by Rod Johnson Lyrics by Carroll Kiphen

I think you've found a really good partner in Rod, Carroll. He seems to get how to put your lyrics across (an excellent one here btw). Great performance and production, especially the clear vocals. The pacing is just right. It didn't feel like almost 5 minutes.
