After a least a couple of years I have finally gotten another demo done. A strange twist to how this one came about. Inspired by something vastly different from subject of song. I believe the year was 2011, when I read in book section of a local newspaper that actress Diane Keaton had written a quasi-autobiography titled "Then Again". It was mostly about her relationship with her mother growing up. Didn't ever read the book, just the review. But thought to myself "I wonder what kind of song lyric I can come up with that title. Very often when a relationship ends or is even on pause, you think you are really over that person and can carry on with your life just fine. And yet visions and old feelings often emerge and you find you are really not over him/her after all. THEN AGAIN c2011 Brian Beecher This time I swore would be the last time I would let you tear me down You gave me that look Told me I was no good And then left me to feel like a clown I’d slow down and take it easy To recharge spent batteries I only was trying to please Now I’ll be moving on Be glad that you’re gone I’ll be so much better off Without you but then again You break into my soul Like a thief in the night I’ll be crying out loud Because being without you Somehow doesn’t seem right I’ll forget and forgive And then to you I will bend Every time that I feel That my heart’s on the mend You’re on my mind then again The gentle sounds of running water Could aid in reducing my stress Whether you meant those hurtful and Wounding words is anyone’s guess Maybe I’ll leave and go somewhere Try to keep gloomy feelings away No point in trying to stay Only a passing phase Till the next time when I will be all set to go But very soon then again You break into my soul Like a thief in the night I’ll be crying out loud Because being without you Somehow doesn’t seem right I’ll forget and forgive And then to you I will bend Every time that I feel That my heart’s on the mend You’re on my mind then again THEN AGAIN

There is so much to like about this song. The lyric is outstanding a very relatable song with a quiet emotion to it The simplicity and clarity of the guitar is perfect The vocal is spot on and soothing and the harmonies are great
love these lines You break into my soul The gentle sounds of running water
A very well thought out song ...great job
Steve
