Fears and Dreams

Water's hanging in the air
making tears upon my face
the darkness steals my breath
and I am longing to feel safe.
Every sound's filling my ears
I am deafened by the dread
from the shadows that are lurking
through my eyes, into my head.
My throat is worn and torn out
from years of silent screams
I can't give away my thoughts
and never share my fears and dreams.
