I know I have trouble coming in and listening. I have a new cd that was released in May called "This Girl" (under Tammy Jann) and I still do FAWM and 50/90 every year and I also have been co-running a Songwriting Group in NH for 8 years now. I finally wrote another Christmas song (I find them difficult to create). It is simple, but I certainly would like to wish Merry and Happy Holidays to the JPF family. https://soundcloud.com/tamsnumber4/christmas-moonChristmas Moon by Tammy Jann © 2021 Holding hands, walking on a winter's night under a cloudless sky full of stars lost and floating in a Christmas dream they'll never know how lucky they are making tracks side by side in the snow love always knows how to find its' way home chorus Christmas Moon, Christmas Moon that special moment in time comes to a few Christmas Moon, Christmas Moon Holiday love's as rare as a Christmas Moon Christmas lights are reflecting in their eyes gentle snowflakes fall and kiss their skin soft strains of music is floating on the breeze all caught up in the perfect world they're in making tracks side by side in the snow love always knows how to find its' way home

What a beautiful voice you have, Tammy. I listened to the song a few times and it is really quite calming...That may be because it is uncluttered with a lot of instrumentation...which seems perfect..great job

Tammy, just beautiful! Sometimes, when it all comes together just right, an arrangement with a nicely written lyric and solid vocals make it all work! Although you could, I don't see the need to add anything more the way I hear it. Thanks for sharing!

What a precious gift your voice is! You could sing the phone book and hold me spellbound and this simple song is a perfect vehicle for that voice. And the best thing about it is that it doesn't sound like a Christmas song

Tammy I've always thought that you have a lovely voice on this song and everything else of yours that I've heard. This song is lovely in all respects. Sentiment, mood, music, delivery...could go on. IF.....you decide to do any further editing...there were were two spots where I thought that the lyrics hicupped a little. Otherwise I thought that the lyrics glided across the melody very nicely. "both lost and floating in a Christmas dream" "Floating" seemed to hang-up a bit on the T. I suggest a single syllable word that ends with a soft N. "soft strains of music is floating on the breeze" "soft strains" seemed to stick slightly as the music moved along. Not sure what to suggest. Very incidental and personal observations. Your song is lovely as it stands. Martin

Hi Tammy!
Nice hearing from you, and what a pretty song. I never thought about a bright moon on Christmas, and yes I suppose in the northern hemisphere it is usually cloudy in winter more often than not. I also like the lyrics besides melody, but was wondering if you were making a "point" that there's is not as much "love" (rare) on the holiday as perhaps there used to be? That line felt sad to me, as we think of Christmas as a time for giving and love?
Merry Christmas!

Hi Eddie!
So nice to see you again!
Thanks for giving it a listen and for commenting. If you look up a Christmas Moon, it is very rare for a full moon for Christmas and I also said it is difficult to fall in love during the holiday by calling it "Holiday Love" because these Hallmark movies make it look like everyone is out dating during Christmas, but most folks I know are stressed or busy with family, so it seemed like finding and falling in love during Christmas is difficult as well.
"A reference is made to a "Christmas moon" being the second full moon in December. This is supposed to occur on Christmas eve. Since the time between full moons is 29.5 days, for it to occur on December 24 is impossible. A second full moon can only occur on either the 30th or 31st in December.'
