I do. I've no reason to complain. They have done everything that they said that they would. Martin

So is it a one time fee to post and a yearly fee to maintain and do they process payments if there are any?

That is the amount that I remember. $19.99 They make it easy and quick to upload your music into their system and they take it from there, uploading to all the major outlets. Beyond that...your music is a needle in a galactic haystack. It's not going anywhere unless you promote it and bring attention to it. It wont go up on Spotify, APPLE et al and find attention.
For me:
It's cheap. It's fun to produce the music and meet their criteria. Gives you a production target. This passed week, I was in the Hill Country and stumbled on an open mic Thursday night. Went over pretty well. Couple of people ask me if I had any music...referred them to Spotify. Don't need to carry CD's around.

I was happy with them for a while, I uploaded songs easily and had no problem down loading my first $100.00 dollars, but I soon realized there was a charge for that, so you don't get 100%. After that I found it harder to get into my site, they added several hoops you had to satisfy (for safety they said) to get into my account to check how things were going. One hurdle I could not get past was to receive a text on a smart phone to reply to. I don't own a smart phone and was not going to buy one just to do this. They must have dropped the last hurdle because I got in after a while and was going to withdraw some more money, but by now they must have hired another firm to make payments through, which meant giving more information to another place I knew nothing about, I'm not comfortable giving too much private info, especially Social Insurance Numbers, to anyone but my employer and the government. Plus now there was another charge you had to pay this company. So much for the 100% you own and receive. So I decided to not continue with their service and ask for a refund for the years fee that I just paid, they flatly refused to do so, even though they say you can get a refund if you move on. They came up with some lame reason why I was not entitled to a refund. I am not saying not to use their service, just saying I was less than happy with them at the end than I was at the beginning, Each person has to judge for themselves if it is worth it or not, for me it was not, I'm out money but I can live without it if they can live with it.

To date, I've had no issues such as yours Everett. I paid as agreed. I uploaded as instructed. They uploaded as agreed.
No surprises or hidden fees to date.

Everett, I am VERY concerned that you may have fallen into a scam. Nothing that you are describing makes sense. I suspect it is possible you clicked on a fake/scam email not really from them, which stole your info and charged you money you didn't owe. No company EVER should ask for or receive your SS# to upload songs etc. If they have a direct contact on the site, you might want to check in to be sure you weren't tricked. It happens all the time to just about anyone. On the right day and right time, ANYONE can be fooled by a scammer. Even the #1 scam buster in the world himself fell for a scam that cost him his Youtube channel with over a million subscribers. YOutube helped him get the subs back but he lost the name of his channel. On the other hand, if this really happened as you say, I would never do business with them. Can we hear from others? I see Martins response. Do you have to pay extra or give them a %? Do they ask you your Social Security number? Brian

I read where Reverbnation, for instance, required a filed W9 form to withdraw funds (‘royalties’), but since Bandlab bought them, this is no longer required. Maybe this is what Everett is talking about? I like Ari’s Take, who has compared all the distro companies out there who cater to Indies. You can Google Ari’s Take and Distribution for his long discussion. The comments section is also informative, but is almost TMI.

I think they are a legit service, it is just that they kept changing the rules after one signs up that I didn't like. Maybe governments are forcing them to comply to new regulations that they bring in to make sure they collect taxes on all money earned by songwriters and artist. I ran into the same problem at CD Baby, they are now taking tax from any money I earned, even though I am a Canadian citizen and Canada and the USA have a tax agreement to avoid double taxation of their citizens. I ran into the same problem with CCLI, even though Canada has tax agreements with most of these countries that use my music but they still hit me with taxes that I can't seem to reclaim, and I am sick of fighting them. The only country that CCLI doesn't take tax money out is USA, they went to bat for me and got it straightened out. UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and several other countries tax me and I am just going to write it off as a cost of doing business. CCLI operates independently in each country or area.
