Go Bananas Comedy Club Bar Go Bananas Comedy Club has been providing live stand-up comedy in Cincinnati for 31 years. Our goal is to bring in the best stand-up comedians from across the country, to make you forget about your work week and make you laugh your ass off. 8410 Market Place Ln Montgomery, OH 45242 http://www.gobananascomedy.com/Prologue Every great joke consists of three parts or acts. The first part is called “The Premise”. The comedian proposes something ordinary: a story about a trip to the bank, the strange differences between men and women, how fudge looks like but not taste like poo… He presents this premise, bringing it up casually. Perhaps you relate to it. Maybe the same thing happened to you. But of course… it probably didn’t. The second act is called “The Twist”. The comedian takes this seemingly ordinary premise and makes it extraordinary by embellishing and lying about what happened. Now you’re thinking “no way?…” or maybe even, “this same event happened to me too.” You are wondering and want to know if this story about having diarrhea at Target is true. But you stop because of course you are not really wondering this at all. You don’t really want to know if it’s true. You want to believe it. But you’re not ready to laugh yet. Because making something up isn’t enough; you have to make it funny. That’s why every joke has a third act, the hardest part, the part comedians call “The Punchline.” Bio Dear people of Blue Ash and the Cincinnati surrounding area. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Eddie Gossling and I am writing this bio in the hopes that after you read it you will decide to come see me perform at Go Bananas Comedy Club November 3 – 6. I have an associate’s degree from San Antonio College which makes me unemployable so comedy is really the only thing I can do. You might have never seen or heard of me. That is because as for the last 12 years I have been a writer/producer on the comedy central show tosh.0. I don’t know what you think is funny. What you are looking for in comedy, I can tell you I don’t do magic, ventriloquism or hypnotize people. But what I do have are a very particular set of comedy skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Before I started writing on tosh.0 I was a regular at Go Bananas as well as many other comedy clubs across the country. I have appeared at the Montreal Comedy Festival as both a New Faces and Gala performer. I have been on Jimmy Kimmel, had my own Comedy Central Special, and I think you will find my ability to slip in out of characters on stage is the reason I voiced the vulture “Scraw” in the Disney animated feature, “The Wild.” I now host a weekly Podcast with my wife and fellow comedian Megan Mooney, “I won’t Listen” from our garage in Los Angeles, California. (weather permitting) These shows are rated: R Thu (November 3, 2022) 7:30 pm $10.00 18+ Fri (November 4) 7:30 pm $15.00 18+ Fri (November 4) 9:45 pm $15.00 18+ Sat (November 5) 7:30 pm $15.00 21+ Sat (November 5) 9:45 pm $15.00 21+ Sun (November 6) 7:30 pm $10.00 18+ Eddie Gossling

Jokes may be like Songs; A Premise, the scene-setting, the exposition the Singer-Character delivers in the first Stanza, Hooking interest in the Storyline.
Perhaps A Twist in a Verse II, or the Chorus. Or in a Verse I if you start with a Chorus. A conflict between what the Singer-Character and Love-Interest Character are experiencing, perhaps.
And A Punchline, THE Hook, the title Line that sums up the Storyline, the main point of the story.
A 'Play', in three Acts.
There will always be another song to be written. Someone will write it. Why not you? www.garyeandrews.com
