Putting up these lascivious photos of giant bazongas, for any reason, is playing right into the hands of Satan, Tony. You are making yourself a tool of the beast.
The wages of sin are death.

Hal must have wrote this specifically for "ME"... lol smile

By Hal Lindsey

When giving the signs of His return, Jesus listed something you may not have spent much time thinking about — offense. In Matthew 24:10 (NKJV), the Lord said, “And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.”

There has never been a time when more people were more offended over more things than right now. Offense is everywhere in our day. People are offended by things both real and imagined; by words spoken and words unspoken. They are not only offended by your political affiliation, but even by the kind of car you drive. They are offended by names and by whole regions of the country. Most people today have a highly honed, well-developed sense of offense. And they keep it ever on alert, just in case.

Beware of this. Jesus said, offense is followed by betrayal and hatred. Those are happening, too.

Most of our society has been infected. We have made taking offense a sign of virtue, and we have shaped it into a fine art. It is one of the main things now taught in public schools, even though it harms both society as a whole and the individual children being taught. It infuses the music of our age, as well as other entertainments. Society reinforces it in the news media (left and right), in the home, and, yes, even in the church. What a sad thing!

The original language takes this verse even further. The word here translated offense comes from the Greek word, “skandalizo.” That’s where we get the English word “scandalize.” We are scandalized by the attitudes and behaviors of others. The root word has to do with trapping and ensnaring. Don’t be ensnared.

Please understand that there are times when people’s words or actions should shock, insult, or upset us. That’s normal, even healthy. But we should never live there. Neither should we be on the lookout for things in which to find offense. And we should never, ever try to find our self-esteem there. Increasing numbers of people try to bolster their own sense of self-worth by being scandalized by someone else. “They are mean, but I am good. They are not smart, but I have things figured out.”

We live in a time when to find something offensive about a political opponent, or a famous person, has become one of the most sought-after feelings. But that rush is not happiness, and it is not even in the vicinity of joy. It may give a moment of satisfaction to find that a wealthy or famous individual is, for instance, a terrible racist. It might even make a person feel briefly superior. But it will never bring lasting joy.

At other times, people use “offense” as an excuse. “I would have succeeded, but the world is not fair.” Nobody ever said the world was fair. Don’t let your offense at perceived unfairness fool you into not working hard. God wants you on His side. When you are on His side, forces will come against you, but He will help you become an overcomer. He wants us to be like the Apostle Paul in Acts 20:24-25. “But none of these things move me,” he said, “neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.”

The disease of finding offense in everything is a sign of the times. Jesus said it would be among the constellation of signs that His coming is near. So, don’t be discouraged when you see it. Instead of bringing discouragement, may it help all of us to realize that our work is great and our time short.

Also, remember that the disease of offense is highly contagious. Be careful not to let it infect you. God has much work left for you and me. We must avoid getting bogged down in offense.

"There has never been a time when more people were more offended over more things than right now. Offense is everywhere in our day."

Look up the number of dead at just the American battles of Antietam and Gettysburg.
Then look up the number of dead in all American Wars other than the Civil War.

In the United States, compared to the immediate run-up to the Civil War and the War itself, the events of today are sunshine and smiles. People have the luxury of indulging whiny emotions and broadcasting them to the world via social media. A crowd of morons vandalized the Capitol and they call that a coup and insurrection. Fort Sumpter was a coup and insurrection.

If you want to thank God for something Tony...thank God for letting your life span post WW2 America, rather than finding yourself in Northern Alabama in 1859. Or 1917-1945. WW1, The Great Depression, WW2.

Sunshine and smiles.
Stop wanting the world to end in a ball of fire. You wouldnt actually enjoy it. I promise. e.g. Hiroshima

In Japan, people scrambled to find shelter as a North Korean missile flew overhead. The nation issued a J-alert. Train service was suspended. Officials ordered residents in the northeastern part of the country to evacuate buildings and find bomb shelters. Both Japan and South Korea sit minutes away from almost all of North Korea’s large ballistic missile stockpile. But they’re not alone. The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea also has intercontinental ballistic missiles that can reach most of the world, including the United States.

On October 4th, the Los Angeles Times ran an article with the headline, “North Korea’s latest missile test reminds the world of Asia’s powder keg.” The article said, “With the war in Ukraine and Russia’s threats to deploy tactical nuclear weapons, it was easy to lose sight of the rising danger North Korea poses.”

But with a threat like Russia, such an oversight is understandable. When the nation with the world’s largest stockpile of nuclear weapons, repeatedly threatens to use them, it’s hard not to put your focus there. It may feel good to see Ukraine’s success, but we also need to understand the danger their success creates. Putin’s army is falling apart. Men fearing the draft have been fleeing the country at an astounding rate.

An ever-growing number of Putin’s inner circle have met untimely deaths, suggesting that it’s dangerous even in private to question the Czar-like Putin. But on the battlefield, another kind of desperation has set in. It has become increasingly common to see white flags attached to Russian tanks, and Russian soldiers walking toward enemy lines with their hands raised.

Vladimir Putin is being deeply humiliated. That feels like justice, but it has created an almost unfathomable danger for every person in the world. The Daily Beast ran an October 4th article with the headline, “It’s Time to Brace for Putin’s Greatest Meltdown Yet.” They called him a “cornered animal,” and said, “The great unraveling of Russian President Vladimir Putin could be right around the corner. It won’t be pretty.”

As Russia’s leader is further weakened, he becomes more likely to lash out with the only thing Russia has that scares everyone else — his nukes. He’s looking for a way to stay in power, and maybe even to stay alive. It is a time of desperation, and that means anything is possible.

That same day, October 4, 2022, the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) said it was purchasing $290 million worth of the drug Nplate, used “to save lives following radiological and nuclear emergencies.” Think about that. The United States is now stockpiling antiradiation drugs. What brought that on? One guess. Russia.

Vladimir Putin, a man who seems to be in poor health and showing increased mental instability, controls the world’s largest arsenal of nuclear weapons — larger even than that of the United States. In a televised September speech to the Russian people, Putin said he was not bluffing when he warned that he might use nuclear weapons against the West. He told them the very existence of Russia is now at stake in Ukraine. Since he said that, Russia’s strategic position in Ukraine has only grown more dire.

“Perilous times” have come, just as the Bible said they would. Stay close to the Lord in prayer and Bible reading. We must not despair, but walk in faith — getting the Gospel out in every way we can, for as long as we can.

In Japan...people did not scramble because nothing in their imagination had ever conceived of two single bombs that would kill hundreds of thousands in two blasts. It was a clear indication that the end was nigh.

Fast forward...Now such bombs are 30 and 40 times that strength. Putin has miscalculated the fight in Ukraine. He's gotten stuck but not likely for good. He has proven his conventional army and generals to be inept.

Last time I read a count the US has 60 nuclear submarines and 6000 warheads. I bet a bunch are in the area. Then there are the interballistics. If Putin goes nuke, Moscow will be vaporized within one hour. or less. It will literally be particles and debris. If he goes all out nuke there could be some headed our way that will reach their targets or close enough for nuclear horsehoes, the earth's atmosphere will be poisoned for many years, and civilization will (likely) be set back centuries. Chernobyl would look like a camp fire.

Putin is backed into a corner but he is calculating and not irrational.
Sorry to disappoint Tony, but I doubt Armageddon is here yet.

My "GUESS"...
Zelensky is going to have to be realistic and give up some land. The people of the world do not want to see it destroyed because of a comedian/ leader who refused to blink. (In the most corrupt country in Europe.)

But this guy Hal is making some hay while the sun is favorable to it.

"For the heavens will vanish away like smoke,
The earth will grow old like a garment,
And those who dwell in it will die in like manner;"

Sooner or later for sure Tony. The sun is destined to burn-out and explode.
In the near future? Who's to say? 2000 plus years...and counting.

Nuclear termination? It's an odd thing to wish for.

Question: When spoken...did "heavens" mean the solar system, the galaxie, the entire universe...or all of the above and whatever else that we cannot currently see?

All out Nuclear war would not destroy the entire universe. Not even our solar system. Not even a neighboring planet.
Maybe just Huntsville, Decatur and the greater Tennessee Valley area? wink

The new dance is the Lindsey

The beat goes like this

Cha-Ching, Cha-Ching, Cha-Ching, Cha-Ching

Talk about scaring people.... this guy makes Putin almost human

“Perilous times” have come .....no, no, no.... perilous times have never gone away, just go and spend time in Yemen or Syria or any of the other wars presently going on...ask them their definition of Armageddon they'll probably tell you to go to hell...which ironically is appropriate

One thing at a time Tony. The first thing I need you to do is set the stage for me. Context etc. As is your pattern... You did not answer a very straightforward question. Still waiting. 🙂

I once begged God for proof!
Not a whisper for my dispute...

I have even accused God
Of making me a fraud...

I once told God, I'm angry!
The silence was bitter frankly...

I once asked God, why?
Despite all evidence before my eyes...

All these one way conversations
Without any explanations
Unanswered questions

My wits invite debating
But I'm still waiting... wink

The problem with arguing with half wits and fools is that they take you down to their level and clobber you with their dogged persistence

played with it some....

I once begged God for proof!
Reasoning dispute...

I once told God, I'm angry!
Felt embittered speaking frankly...

I once asked God how and why?
When such evidence fills my eyes...

I don't question God, Tony. I don't have access to God. Nor do I assume him/her to be the voice in my mind.

Point1...you are incorrect. I dont question God. I dont even know for certain that there is a God to question. I question earthlings who tell me that they are certain about God.

Point2...agreed

Point3...the voice in my mind is me.

Point4...Yes I am an earthling. If you are going to set up these threads and preach to me, you should speak with me and answer questions about your sermons.

A recommendation...

...let's face it. Virtually every movie or TV show based on The Bible is really bad. The Passion of the Christ was a noble effort but the wacky stuff with Judas came out of nowhere, and the torture scenes were rightly criticized for being over the top. That said, the scenes with Pilate are outstanding.

So I was skeptical when I read about The Chosen.

There's only 2 seasons but so far, it's one of the best shows I've ever seen in any genre. I'd recommend it to anyone, Christian or not. It's that good. There's only 16 episodes. Season 3 is due out soon.

It puts you right in the 1st century, where Christianity was born from Judaism. It doesn't baby the audience so the first couple of episodes will challenge anyone unfamiliar with the Torah, the Pharisees, Nicodemus, Mary Magdalene etc. The 3rd episode is wonderful.

Well, well worth your time.

I don't know tech, streaming etc. I do know the first season is free on Amazon Prime. You can watch both seasons free on other sites. You guys could figure it out easier than if I offered a confusing explanation.

I'm recommending it as I would Charlie Patton. It's a trip back in history to most unfamiliar with it. A very rewarding trip.

Trust me.

1- This thread is about prophecy
2- I quote the Bible and Hal Lindsey
3- I'm not an ordained minister
4- What sermon?

1 biblical prophesy
2 I know. He quotes, paraphrases and extrapolates from the bible.
3. I know.
4. Call it proselytizing, testifying, evangelizing. Giving a sermon works as well as any of those.

OK, here's my confession...

https://www.jpfolks.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/935340.html

The above link is a thread started by JLS more than 10yrs ago; Have you read it? I have... In fact, it impressed me. It showed me that folks on this site were quite capable and willing to have open, honest, and polite conversation about Christianity and faith. It's the reason I had absolutely no apprehensions about starting this thread...

So, my question; Is it just me? Do I somehow invite adversarial and insulting scrutiny because of my faith? Or, has there been a recent and unreasonable social rejection of all things Christian?

If you believe my POV is irrelevant, then just tell us your story. Go ahead brother, preach the finer points of life according to Marty.... I'll wait.

At least quit trying to hold me accountable for your lack of faith... Since, I believe, we will be judged equally...

Tony,

For starters don't confuse my emotions for yours.
What I know of you from these posts is that you're a cranky dude with a good heart.

As far as religion, I'm agnostic... So I can't really profess anything because I don't know nuffin.

The straight of it is that I don't think anyone else does either. So I ask questions of anyone that tells me they have the one and only answer. That would be you. Doesn't mean I don't like you. And I enjoy the back and forth. And if you look at my posts and read them calmly, you'll see that there is no point that I insult you.

Unless you consider being called a preacher an insult.
I don't. In this context, I consider it just having fun.

And you are the poster boy for having fun on the internet.
What's that thing about throwing stones? Smiling

PS. Just about to get on the bike and head to luckenbach. I'll give them your regards.

We just celebrated what may be one of the last Columbus Day holidays ever. Christopher Columbus was a complex man — neither a perfect hero nor a monster. No matter what you think of him personally, it is impossible for us to fully fathom his impact on world history. When he arrived in the Bahamas on October 12, 1492, two worlds collided, and neither of them would ever be the same. His voyage led to unspeakable suffering and injustice, but also to staggering levels of progress in an amazing number of human endeavors. But all that is small compared to one of his stated purposes. I’m not talking about finding a western sea passage from Europe to Asia. I’m talking about his desire to help facilitate the return of Jesus Christ.

According to noted historian Carol Delaney, author of Columbus and the Quest for Jerusalem, “Everybody knows that Columbus was trying to find gold, but they don’t know what the gold was for: to fund a crusade to take Jerusalem back from the Muslims before the end of the world. A lot of people at the time thought that the apocalypse was coming because of all the signs: the plague, famine, earthquakes, and so forth. And it was believed that before the end, Jerusalem had to be back in Christian hands so that Christ could return in judgment.”

Columbus believed ardently in the Second Coming of Jesus, but the Catholic Church taught that it had replaced Israel in God’s plans. That meant Christians, not Jews, must control Jerusalem for the ancient prophecies to come true.

If, on the other hand, you look at the Bible as saying exactly what it means, you come to a different conclusion. If you believe God will keep His word to the people to whom He gave it, you know that Israel must control Jerusalem for the prophecies to be fulfilled. God made specific promises to the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And He will keep His word.

Let’s say you promise to buy someone a new car. Would your promise be fulfilled if you chose to give that car to someone else? Of course not. Romans 11:1 (NKJV) says, “Has God cast away His people? Certainly not!”

Look at Jeremiah 31:37 in the New Living Translation. “This is what the Lord says: ‘Just as the heavens cannot be measured and the foundations of the earth cannot be explored, so I will not consider casting them away for the evil they have done. I, the Lord, have spoken!’”

Many Bible scholars of the past were sure the Church replaced Israel because neither Judah nor Israel existed as a real nation from 115 AD until 1948. And they were sure it never would exist again. No nation had ever disappeared for almost 2,000 years, and then suddenly reappeared with its bloodlines intact. But that’s what happened to Israel. God said He would remake Israel as a nation with the actual descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And He did.

Bible prophecy concerning the return of Jesus requires — not Christians to control Jerusalem — but Israel to control Jerusalem. That happened in 1967. God said He would give Jerusalem back to Israel. And He did.

Columbus got some of his information confused. But it’s exciting to know that Christian men and women down through the centuries were looking for the return of Jesus. It’s even more thrilling to realize that we live in the time when there are not just a few signs here and there, but a convergence of signs including the rebirth of Israel and their reacquiring of Jerusalem.

God keeps His word. In the case of Israel’s rebirth, He kept His word in something huge and seemingly impossible. That should give us confidence that He will also fulfill His promises to us — even when they seem impossible. Never forget what Jesus said in Matthew 19:26. “With God all things are possible.”

If Jack Van Empe and Rexella are still around, I'd like to see them weigh in on this so I can obtain a fuller perspective.

SELF FULLFILLING PROPHECY
Self-fulfilling prophecy, also known as interpersonal expectancy effect, refers to the phenomenon whereby a person's or a group's expectation for the behavior of another person or group serves actually to bring about the prophesied or expected behavior.

The re-establishment of the State of Israel.
Human beings can do that. Jews around Europe and the world never let go of the idea.
Sidenote: Most of those same Jews think Christ to be a fraud messiah.

Nuclear Annihilation (Armageddon)
Human beings now have the capacity to do that and render the earth toxic (to humans and most life.)

A thousand years of peace to be reigned over by the PRINCE OF PEACE? (See paragraph above)
Only God can do that...but....God has to exist in this form and in accordance with this agenda.
If...HE actually does not, then the first two items become "self fulfilling prophecies."

Scary prospect.

What I am grateful for in all of this?
The framers of our government fully realized the dangers and abhorrences possible if theocracies took control of government. Salem 1693.
And they built separation of church-and-state into the constitution.

Because of that I will not be reported for heresy, apprehended some time tonight...incarcerated, tortured and hanged.
I am very very grateful to those men who put it all on the line in what looked like a doomed cause.

"If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself. A dependence on the people is, no doubt, the primary control on the government; but experience has taught mankind the necessity of auxiliary precautions." James Madison

The wisdom of auxiliary precautions has been grasped since antiquity. Plato, for example, critiqued radical democracy for putting excessive emphasis on freedom and thus opening itself up to injustice and eventual collapse. Unrestrained freedom, he argued, leads people to overindulge their appetites and act on foolish impulses. Such a state quickly deteriorates into anarchy and mob rule, ultimately betraying the common good. Eventually, this pervasive injustice can open the way for despotism. As weve learned from the outcome of the French Revolution, what began as a democratic Enlightenment project to fulfill the rights of man and achieve total equality and freedom... culminated in the common folk beheading King Louis XVI and vicious mob rule.

Thankfully, our framers were wiser than their French counterparts were. Drawing upon history from ancient Greece and Rome, John Adams warned posterity to Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself.

Compatriot Benjamin Franklin likewise admonished: Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote! Thomas Jefferson agreed: A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine.

Due to these well-grounded fears, our Founders prudently crafted a government that combined elements of monarchy (the presidency), aristocracy (the Senate), and democracy (the House), while further dividing power between state and federal governments (federalism). As good government requires checks and balances against the excesses of each type of governmentand against human nature itselfthey devised a selection process for the president to moderate the passions of the voting populace (the Electoral College). Make no mistake: our government was designed to be a constitutional representative republic with a democratic election process.

Seems to me... the Democrats tend to revel in their own willful ignorance since children aren't taught any of this in public schools anymore.

Here's a comment I made on a past thread.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The problem I see is that the Christian ideals of the American founders and forefathers that define freedom in the American Constitution have been rejected and forgotten in favor of a more tangible and self serving ideology. The American forefathers could not predict how the entrepreneurial habit of placing a price upon all that God had provided freely would ultimately and proudly enslave the entire planet in the name of capitalism and profit. Trump is and always has been a very savvy American businessman but hes not a Globalist Socialist. Trump does not want to sacrifice American sovereignty for the sake of global economics and consolidation of powers. Trump is a proud individualist who understands the balance of powers within a highly competitive free and global marketplace. The problem with liberals is, they keep pushing the limits till theres no sense of right or wrong. Then the conservatives have to put things back in order while the liberals deny accountability. I miss the days when folks would debate the difference between democrats and republicans... Back when it was hard to tell the difference because both upheld the Constitution...My point is that the argument between liberals and conservatives wasnt always a Democrat vs Republican issue, but those lines have definitely been drawn today. The irony is that our forefathers penned our Constitution and put our governments checks and balances in place in order to counter precisely whats happening now. You see, the only way to "reform" America is to destroy the constitution and the Christian ideals that it defends. I tell you the truth, most immigrants that go through the process of entering this country "legally" are now more American than most indigenous liberals... by virtue of the fact that they are taught the definition of "Representative Constitutional Republic" and sworn to defend the same. Whats truly at the heart of all political debate is morality. Whats always at stake is who's going to possess the power and authority to either enforce it, or simply acknowledge and defend it. "Climate Change" is really a common sense example if you think about it. How many laws already exist to stop big industry from polluting the planet? Why do we need a new faction of world government and new laws to enforce the laws that already exist? What were up against is an old foe disguised as democracy. The "progressive liberals" only want power, authority and complete control.... just like all Socialists/Communists do. In order to gain that kind of authority the first thing they have to do is get rid of religion....... and guns.... and try to convince you that "its for your own good" because "youre helpless and dont know any better". The Obamas, Clintons, Gores and the rest want to JOIN THE EU! The reason Trump wants to bring business back home, make America "self sufficient" again, and get out of this world trade/deficit scenario is because... WE CAN... and we are the only thing stopping the federal reserve, the UN, and the EU from implementing a world wide currency! The reason the Democrats hate Trump so much is because they know if he's allowed to "drain the swamp" then HE WILL BALANCE THE BUDGET! He's ALREADY bringing our troops and businesses back home. The democrats cant allow Trump to do his job because it would ultimately mean the end of theirs. Socialist equals Globalist in todays debt driven economy/society, and the Progressive Socialist Democrats would rather join the EU than see America thrive in a free market. Make no mistake, this is not just a war of "political ideologies". The progressives want to rule globally with one bank and one currency... DEBT! Think about it... were already numbered and already in debt from the day were born, the Socialist Democrats are just trying to maintain "status quo". Some people sadly believe that governance is all about profit and economic influence... that is very self serving and short sighted. There arent enough resources on the face of this planet to cover the $190 trillion of global debt were in. Dont you see? Our greed and profit driven ideologies have outgrown the tangible reality of life. Debt is all The Powers That Be have left to cling to, and many of them already entertain concepts like Mass Chemical Sterilization and Child Permits based upon working class. Why? Because 1% of the population owns 50% of the worlds wealth and 30% of the population owns 97% of the worlds wealth. However, no one knows better than They that the ever increasing debt is unsustainable because their profits are based upon projected interest, but the population is outgrowing their resources. Socialists/Communists have always advanced the idea that a singular world government should own and control the entire worlds resources, thereby maintaining authority over the population. I fear that America is the only true bastion of freedom left in the world, but even so if debt driven greed is not brought to heel, then soon it wont matter if youre a Democrat or Republican.
---------------------------------------------------------

Freedom and morality are not separate issues! Compulsory acceptance of the fact that everyone is different is a consequence of freedom; We don't all have to be the same to agree upon it. However, competitive animosity tends to distract us from that agreement... In fact, emotional investment in competition will take precedence. To me, there seems to be a premeditated turning away from the natural concept of commonality that our Creator intended. How can we possibly come together in agreement if there is no moral standard? How will we ever see "eye to eye" when what drives the competition is an opposition to any Christian moral standard?

Love does not conquer all... truth does, and you can't have one without the other.

""Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.""

Tony

Biden has always been an empty suit, but he is not crazy.. A highly successful backslapper and opportunist. Black President or Ex Klan member...he's your pal if he can gain by you. In addition to that, the dude is fading. All bad.

Putin is not bat-$hit crazy. He is calculated. His cultural filters are vastly different from ours. It is a mistake to label him crazy. He is cold, calculating, dangerous and resourceful. (KGB) In Helsinki he had Trump babbling like a rattled child.

Right now, he is getting his butt kicked because he is vastly outnumbered. He failed to anticipate the number of Ukrainians willing to take up arms against Russia. (re: US 2nd amend) He is badly outnumbered as a result and being overwhelmed and pushed back. Not out but back. He is loading up with conscripts at this moment and preparing for a long winter slog. The bridge gave him a pretext for randomly terror bombing the population.

Several wild cards in the deck. Western supplies and involvement being the biggest.

Putin is not suicidal crazy. He does not want to be vaporized or watch as Moscow is. Very unlikely to unleash nukes.
Could be deposed, but I doubt it.
If "NATO" enters heavily and backs him against a wall...all bets are off.

MY GUESS:
A deal is worked out. Zelensky gives up some eastern provinces and Russia claims that their goals were met.

Question for you...Would you be pleased if this conflict escalated into "Armageddon?"

Of course not, but I would be relived. The wait would finally be over... "Wars and rumors of wars" (nation against nation) are just signs of the times, it's peace talks with Israel that you have to watch for. Just consider, what will be the political atmosphere in the region if Russia DOES take Ukraine?

Tony

When I am relived ("relieved?) about something...I'm glad about it. Relief is usually a welcomed thing.
A war involving nuclear annihilation and generations of atmospheric toxicity would bring me no relief.
Wars and rumors of wars are the norm for every era in Human history.

At this point, I doubt that Russia wants all of Ukraine. They dont appear to have the manpower for it without bombing Ukraine flat. That is not what they had in mind at the outset. They mistakenly thought that a large percentage of the population would welcome them and the Ukrainian resistance would never be there. I SUSPECT that they will settle for something that they can call a "victory" in Eastern Ukraine. I BELIEVE that the west is already pressuring Zelensky to give that up.

We shall see.

Israel sits this one out. If they got to be in it for "ARMAGEDDON" to occur....likely no Armageddon for you.
Better luck next time. lol.

Tony if you are going to put this stuff on a public forum, gotta take a joke now and then. wink

Tony

I dont think that you read my posts to the end. I capitalized SUSPECT and BELIEVE. I don't know what is gonna happen in Ukraine or the stock market. I can only SUSPECT, BELIEVE, GUESS, WONDER , SURMISE, PONDER etc. Whatever actually happens wont have anything to do with my hunches.

That aside, I did make a prediction about the outcome. And if it does not come true and you get your Armageddon or any other outcome different than what I predicted, then I will come back to this thread and own my "false prophesy" and you can shame me as long as you like.

ON THE CONDITION THAT....

If my hunch is correct, you have to include and show reverence for at least one passage from the BOOK of MARTY in all of your future sermons.

Deal? wink

Oh, but I do read your posts brother Marty, I really do...

OK, Deal!

I'm suddenly reminded of how the democrats accused Bush Sr of waging the Gulf War just the sake of oil... Lol

Putin has gotten real comfy with Iran and China. Tell me Marty, what do you think is on THEIR minds?

I SUSPECT...any advantage that they can take. With regard to China and Russia, there really isnt a lot of "they" to them. Their cultures are worlds apart and they have an uneasy border history.

"the enemy of my enemy is my friend"....not really.

What I doubt Tony is that their collective goal is to play a part in bringing on Armageddon. They're gonna play-off that fear if they get a chance to stoke fear in order to play it to advantage.

Kinda like Preacher Tony does at the JPF church....:) smile smile

Well... I take into consideration everything Bernie O'Biden and his gaggle of misfits are trying to do, and I can only conclude that the NWO is closer than anyone wants to admit!

I just read an article where scientists claim an asteroid 65 million years ago caused a giant tidal wave that killed the dinosaurs. It's an evolution-based article.

The article basically described Genesis 6-8. Just without the "asteroid". I was astounded.

I'm typing on my phone and don't know how to cut and paste links on this dumb thing. Just Google it.
It's not a religious article.

Yucatan
I believe an oil geologist discovered it in the 60s. To my understanding it was not a tidal wave per se, but toxic atmosphere and destruction of food sources that killed the dinosaurs. Per current science that event is estimated at a few million years ago, but, per science, the universe that we can see is estimated at 13 billion years old...so there's a gap in time to consider.

Can't find anything. Can you cite a link.
I'm guessing your root interest is undercutting carbon dating because carbon dating undercuts the alleged age of the Shroud of Turin?

Don't care much about the shroud lol...

Carbon dating has been propagated as legitimate science since the 40s, despite the glaring and obvious flaws in its conception, and tendency to be skewed by environmental factors. I only have a basic understanding of it myself, but there's plenty of scientists arguing the pros/cons. Just look at how many Google results you get...

The short story is, you can carbon date two different objects that you know the ages of. Then, place the results on a timeline and connect the dots, simple. Problem is, because of environmental factors, and various methods of calculation, even similar objects from the same time don't date consistently. However, the real problem is, so called "scientists" will connect the dots anyway... and arbitrarily draw a straight line all the way back to 50 billion years ago!

Carbon dating has been proven, by the scientists own results, to be an unreliable working theory.

Now, please don't ask me if I believe the universe is only 6000yrs old Marty... I'm not that stupid, and no, the Bible doesn't say that...
