Bellows (NY):
Bellows is the bedroom recording project of songwriter and producer Oliver Kalb. The sound of Bellows is sensory and delicate, subtle and quiet, but erupts with frantic wobbling drums, large orchestral sections and bursts of noise that push the conventions of pop and folk. Started in late 2010 in a bedroom in upstate New York, Bellows has since blossomed from a solo recording experiment into a large-scale rock band, employing the help of friends to bring Kalb's intimate home recordings to life on stage in sweeping, loud, and intense live performances.
Bellows sonic palate has developed and grown considerably across five albums released over the last decade. Bob Boilen of NPRs All Songs Considered named Bellows sophomore album Blue Breath one of his favorite albums of 2014. Two tracks from Bellows electronic-inflected third album Fist & Palm were included in Stereogums Best Songs of 2016 list. Bellows most recent record The Rose Gardener was included in Paste Magazines Best Overlooked Albums of 2019 list. Bellows upcoming fifth album Next of Kin was released by Topshelf Records on March 23rd, 2022.
Nat Harvie:
Tender pop, stark alternative, lush experimental- producer/performer Nat Harvie shapeshifts along a wide arc of story, style, and texture. Ever changing, their work is grounded in rich human connection, phenomenology, and simple mystery. Their new album, "Married in Song" released January 28 via Chairkickers' Union, the personal imprint of Low's Alan Sparhawk. Co-produced by Harvie and Zoo Animal, frontwoman Holly Hansen at her St. Paul recording studio, Salon, this collection of songs in Harvie's words represents the process of my learning to write for myself, trusting my collaborators, and maintaining patience with myself as an artist. The resulting songs harken to the avant-pop of Arthur Russell, Cindy Lee, Lomelda, Low, and early Perfume Genius, all tremendous influences on Harvies richly textured songwriting and production style. Under the Radar Magazine describes single, Longbody as, "a gorgeous reflection on the lingering ache love leaves behind".
Lion or Gazelle:

There will always be another song to be written. Someone will write it. Why not you?
