Composed of New Zealand guitarist-vocalist Nick Stone, Colorado mandolinist-vocalist Dani Cichon and Michigan cellist Alex Stradal, Nashville based trio South for Winter's music has been described as: "folk-blues", "folk-jazz", and "Renaissance". Expect meticulously crafted lyrics intoned with a depth of emotion and richness of experience, wonderful harmonies, and an impressive assortment of instruments.

The trio has risen quickly through the ranks of roots musicians in their three years as a band. In 2018, they were nominated by Nashville's Lightning 100 Radio as a rising local artist; in 2019, they were voted 'Most Wanted Emerging Artist' at Falcon Ridge Festival; and in 2020 they were chosen as Top Artist of 2019 by BuzzMusic blog.

They've also received rave reviews from publications. Their growing influence is reflected through social media and Spotify (over 10K listeners, 221K Streams, and counting).

"Laden with delicate harmonies, intricate guitar-work and earthy vocals...impeccable sound." American Songwriter

There will always be another song to be written. Someone will write it. Why not you?
