No, I think the very definition of Christianity is to love one another, as yourself. And to become a good person, and to learn the difference between right and wrong, and try to emulate the life of Jesus. In fact, I know that's the point. HE said Love one another as yourself is as great as a commandment as loving God. Fail......

"You are not far from the kingdom of Heaven Joseph.....of....? But there's another commandment , no great or lesser, love others as you would love yourself."

I DONT think it's about trading bible quotes, and being mesmerized by the book, it's about life. Jesus was a worldly leader, whether or not HE is the son of God, is a matter of faith, will never be proven or disproven, although the burden of proof is on the statement maker. Nor will his return ever be waited on. How many people throughout the centuries have claimed to be the messiah? Many. Many mental health patients think THEY are the messiah...why would God do that to somebody?

And if Jesus came again, NOBODY would believe it. I can see it now, it's a political conspiracy!

And people would scoff and laugh at the cult that would be following Jesus. It would be on TV and the news, every day, and scientists would be expecting proof of all the elegant miracles, and there would be none, it would be all word of mouth. Just as seeing Elvis is.

And being an arrogant prick...not saying whom, God would no doubt, turn away from such an idiot.

You cant ask for no commentary, or counters, when you start a thread like this, you have to remember that not everybody believes, some like you and Everette are die hards, others are passive, some dont care to open their mouth either way, and others think it's a fairy tale,

That's life in a nutshell. No two people are alike, you cant expect a uniform statement.

Certain people think when they say something, or write something down, that that is all there is, they dont even realize that the topic itself owns to refute, .

If you dont believe, and you are a member here, are you supposed to read and not say anything? We have enough of that with songs, thats why nobody posts, nobody participates.

Religion is a controversial subject, so is the Bible, dont expect your magic words to astonish everybody else.

Im not sure what responses you are looking for? "Oh what a wonderful composition, you are one of the great seers I have ever known, I NOW have no reservations," .... yeah right

If you post controversial things like religion and politics, expect refute, they have always ended in mud slinging on this forum, and probably on facebook too. And you know this, otherwise you'd start cooking threads....

Either accept not everybody agrees, or dont share anything.

Folks know who they are.

Completely missing the point as usual Dom!
You've already made it perfectly clear that you refuse the Spirit of faith because YOU are not an idiot. Great Dom, now move on. You're the only person here that anyone truly argues with, and you wear that like a badge of honor!

Go pretend you're my "alien X-wife", you should be really good at that!

Or, better yet, why don't you go tell us what "a perfect world according to Dom" looks like on your "Crickets..." thread; Speaking of complete failures!

If you got that..." i dont believe because im not an idiot", from all of my posts, " then why do you bother reading? That is so far from the truth of what ive said here, I have no idea where you get that from.

And when the idiot mentions me, i will come in the comment, Coward waits till he thinks the coast is clear.

No, it's you that has the perfect world..... im the confused one, im the one searching. You are there from day one.

But i dont think you understand who my beef is with... it's not you, you're harmless.

Dom,
If you were even half as knowledgeable about the Bible as you claim, you would never have written what you wrote above! Also, since you respond to ME, I do tend to take you personally!

Again, who said I was knowledgeable about the bible,? Thats the troll who says/thinks that.

I do know some passages, and if Jesus said that loving one another as yourself, is as great of a commandment as loving God, then im gonna have to roll up my sleeves and say thats pretty important.

But it's not what people want to do, theyd rather read the gore, the disaster thats going to happen, then do something simple as help somebody out, or make people feel good about themselves.

The Gospel is supposed to be good news, it's not a death sentence.

Here's the good news...

God Himself, your creator, in the name of Christ Jesus (the personification of the power of God's word), paid the price for your redemption on a Roman Cross 2000yrs ago, and promises to return for His True Church when the time comes to put an end to those who would destroy the Earth. Those who destroy the Earth are the same who deny Christ is Messiah and will be judged accordingly because, ONLY GOD CAN REDEEM YOU!

You've already been bought and paid for Dom. Accept it!

When I go back through this thread I'm astounded by the complete disregard for Biblical and historical integrity, Spiritual efficacy, and most of all, fear of God's judgment. I'm constantly shaking my head in complete bewilderment, wondering what episode of the Twilight Zone I just woke up in. I'm only 55, but I feel like I've witnessed the population of an entire planet suddenly reject the one and only consistently reliable source of morality, wisdom, and truth that has ever existed, for some ill conceived political agenda in the name of equality and unity of global economic purpose. I have known and understood, all my adult life, that this day was prophesied to come, but I didn't expect to be surprised by it. I didn't expect it to happen overnight! How can so many people be so completely ignorant of something I've taken for granted all my life? How do these same people justify themselves when they question my integrity as a Christian by saying that I'm not "peaceful and loving" enough? How can we both be on the same planet, living at the same time, privy to all the same information, yet come to entirely different conclusions? If my neighbor thinks Christianity is a cult, doesn't understand that God is going to keep His promises whether people believe it or not, and has absolutely no fear of impending Armageddon; Should I lovingly, politically correctly, and respectfully tell my neighbor to enjoy eternity in Hell?

There are many small c christians and many capital C Christians, which camp each will fall in is how seriously they believe. Many that call themselves Christian never read the bible, never or seldom go to church, let alone pay a church. They see church as a place to marry, baptize or bury people. Many have said "I've read the bible" and maybe they did ONCE. The bible needs to be read daily and studied to get what we should be as followers of Jesus. Christianity should be a lifestyle, not once on a Sunday for an hour. Nobody is perfect and those watching Christians expecting them to be perfect will be disappointed or happy. Happy because they can say, "see he is no better than I am". Christians are sinners saved by grace, we will make mistakes, but we believe that Jesus paid for our sins and mistakes. we confess our weakness. We can never earn our way into Heaven, that is a gift from Jesus, but we will be judged for rewards on what we do on this earth for Jesus. When we accept Jesus as our Saviour, we become disciples of Christ and we are told to go into the world and preach the Gospel and make others disciples of Christ. The bible tells us how we should live to be pleasing to God, but it also warns us of what is yet to come, when God will separate the goats from the sheep, the believers from the unbelievers, it gives us signs to watch for as that day approaches, but those that don't read the bible will not see that day until it is upon them, then it is too late. Those signs are happening now but we can not know the exact day or hour when He will take His church out, just be ready.

I don't say this to be holier than though, I am not, I'm just saved by grace doing what is expected of me. I'm a sower of seed, the Holy Spirit will water and nurture those that believe and God Jesus will harvest the crop, wheat will be put in barns and weeds will be burned.

Well I think that's part of the conflict of Christianity Everette. We're given commandments, parabels, metaphors on what to do and what not to do, but, we're saved anyway? Which is why I brought up love your neighbor as yourself...ahhh not important...lets read about 666!

I read a story about some gang member who killed somebody, and then made the sign of the cross, asking for forgiveness. If it's all true, God will forgive him. DIdnt help the poor person who got shot though.

Animals kill with no remorse and not even a realization that they did anything wrong. It's theirs for the taking, so they take it. It's not that they dont know right from wrong, it's just instinct, needed to survive.

Humans for millions of years were savage hunters, and savage towards one another, in much the same way as animals. The only difference is our brains figured out that living in a uniform society, with rules helps all. Helps our survival to work together, helps our quality of life and our future. We made our own rules before we were ever told them By "Moses"....

Stealing, killing, adultrey, are all basic sins that we decided needed to be curtailed in order to function and thrive.

Today we have too many laws.

But laws and rules are man made ideas, they started hundreds of thousands of years ago with the first civilizations.

We've already had this argument Dom, I'm not doing this with you again. It's stupidly redundant and you seem to get off on it.

Free will is just a choice Dom; Honor God's Will, or do whatever the hell you want. For me the choice is easy, and I make my choice with a clear conscience. I've told you what I know to be the truth and you've made a game of rejecting it at every turn. In fact, you color yourself a victim of Christianity while reveling in your rebellion against God.

Continuing this foolish argument with you sets a bad precedent. I am to love my neighbor, but not lower myself to my neighbor's standard. There are limits to love and good will Dom, and God's wrath is perfectly justified. If you will not accept that you are God's creation, I cannot love you enough to make you feel better about yourself.

Faith hinges upon taking God at His Word Dom. I may not be qualified to judge you, as you are just as entitled to exercise free will as I am. However and just the same, God's Word is a double edged sword and I'm not capable of making you believe it.

Not everybody is Christian, born into religion the same way you were.

But you're arguments are philosophical. "God's Word" If people knew that was God's word, it would be a different story. THAT is what causes debates. Everybody thinks their religion gives them God's word.

We dont know for a fact that The Bible is God's word. We believe it on faith.

Trying to sound rational and common sense making doesnt cut it when you are going by faith, YOUR faith.

If God will send Hindus to Hell for enternity for not worshipping HIM, then He is a mean spirited, vindictive, God, a Jealous god. Ive heard somebody describe HIM that way...OUR GOD is a JEALOUS God. WHATTTT?

Creator of everything, is jealous of other gods? LOLLLL

Dude, prove The Bible is Gods word. Then we'll have something.

For now, we HOPE it is. Thats all we got.

The depth of the sacred Scriptures is such that passages are often later seen to have more than one
layer of meaning, meanings that may not have been apparent to their original writer, such as Psalm 22 and its Messianic prophecies.

I scanned your post, and, as usual, it was packed with errors.

Just one.

Jesus didn't expel Satan from heaven, Michael did, as clearly seen in Revelation 12. It can be read in a few minutes.

I say this not to engage someone like FD in another debate, who is grossly misinformed, but to give a brief defense for the Bible and the Good News.

JAPOV, forget Hal Lindsay, do some study and don't engage trolls like FD until you can put up a better fight. Just some friendly advice.

So... How am I doing?

FD The bible says several things that seem to apply to you. 1. Without faith you can not please God. 2.Only a fool says in his heart there is no God. 3. Not all those that say Lord , Lord are of God and will not enter heaven.4.Cast not your pearls before swine.5.Every word spoken is written down and will be used against you on judgement day.

Well, im not sure how any of that applies to me, im not saying there is no God.

And faith is based on something you have seen, heard, felt. If nobody claimed to have seen Jesus rise from the dead after three days, (actually, they didn't say they saw him rise, they saw him missing, and then saw him) then you wouldn't be thinking he did. So, it's heavily dependent on that small group of people in this massive history of humanity. What if, and just hypothetically, somebody was imagining it? Or even making it up? How do you know they werent? You dont. Your faith is in what was written down, and not even by the actual people who saw it, by different people who knew how to write.

If i said to you, have faith Everette, you will have a hit song published within the next 5 years. You'd wonder, how can I say that, what proof does he have to say within 5 years, You'd immediately not take it too seriously, because the evidence to support that claim would be missing

Your evidence for your faith in God, comes from the bible. Written 2000 years ago, by people you dont know, have no real idea if what they wrote was accurate. You just accept it, because it says "this is God's word"

I have a much easier time believing in a spiritual world, a life force if you will, than something written down by human beings... fallable, often biased human beings. Every religion thinks they are right, even all the Christian religions dont agree on things.

But i think The Bible is an excellent book and if everybody read it and did what it said, The World could be a much better place.

Then again, behavior seems to be governed by genetics, some criminals have been studied and their brains are different than "good" or basicly good people, and your brain probably decides your belief in God as well. The will to be good may be there, but the brain gives it's own orders.

But im not an atheist nor an agnostic. Im a believer who is unsure if he's right...... that's a new one hey?

on Eyewitness testimony, and why you cant convince anybody else there is a God.

Dom,
What if I could show you, all that multidimensional speculation not only originates in the Bible, but it's also the best evidence we have regarding the nature of God?

I'd say im listening....

But its doubtful it would have any real understanding of it, being we dont even fully understand many things today.

The world was not created in 7 days
, 6 days and one day for rest. So either that's a metaphorical reference, or complete BS, or the best way they could explain something that they had no clue what they were talking about.

I will say that if there is a Heaven, a higher plane of existence, it might exist in another dimension, which is why we cant see it or hear it, but when we experience something "spiritual" or para normal, or unusual, maybe that's where it exists.

And physics and mathematics are the only way can can understand it

Consider this... if there is an afterlife, which im open to, then we expect to see relatives, close friends, but what about our genealogical tree. I never knew my great grand parents, my parents never knew their great grand parents, and so forth, so am I going to see all those people, and would I be saying "who the hell are you"? Just like The Who sang...

Or would i only see what i know. and will we see people on this forum? Will i see Barry and Dave Rice? I dont know them, yet I do know them, I communicated with them.

It's a very odd thing to think about. What if you see somebody you couldnt stand in this life, in the afterlife? Would you say, get out of here you jackass? It's too confusing. And too surreal to phathom.

Maybe we dont see anybody we knew at all, we just change teams.

Nobody knows, the Bible doesnt either, it has never said what exists in the KINGDOM. I do know that some muslims think if they die for Allah, they will have 7 virgins waiting for them in the afterlife.

I guess with all those women, seeing anybody else would be a waste of time.....

But sure, tell me what you got...

Well... I just got back from burning up about $200 worth of old ammo at the firing range and making a few new friends. So, you're lucky I'm in such a good mood Dom.

Firstly I need to know if this conversation is worth having, since I posed such a simple question and received such a mouthful of disclaimers lol...

Do YOU even understand the science of multidimentionality as explained in the video you posted above? I'm certainly NOT asking you to do any MATH Dom, I'm just asking if you get the premise wink

It's only a mouthful cause you dont want to hear anything other than what your mind is focused on.

I'm a thinker, i frustrate myself overthinking things, but thats my nature. Some people i know. go through life never questioning anything, they dont bother with it, it's probably the best way to live.

But I gave you an opportunity to share your thoughts, you decided to chit on mine.

Now, im going for a beer, going to see an acoustic set, then im coming back and recording into the wee hours of the night.

If yall can stop mentioning me, i wouldnt have to respond. Im making progress, but i need to stay clear of here.

By Hal Lindsey

This summer, the world took a giant step toward Antichrist and Armageddon. It happened when the People’s Bank of China rolled out its new “digital yuan.” A government-backed all-digital currency now exists in the world. And that brings us into a new era.

Digital currencies have been around for a while. Bitcoin is the best-known. But the digital yuan is something different. Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency, not associated with any government. The digital yuan is the beginning of a new wave of government-supported cybercurrencies that will soon encircle the world.

In July of this year, CNBC’s Dain Evans wrote, “China is beating the US when it comes to innovation in online money, posing challenges to the US dollar’s status as the de facto monetary reserve. Nearly 80 countries — including China and the US — are in the process of developing a CBDC, or Central Bank Digital Currency. It’s a form of money that’s regulated but exists entirely online. China has already launched its digital yuan to more than a million Chinese citizens, while the US is still largely focused on research.”

In a recent article here, we looked at several aspects of Bible prophecy concerning the mark of the beast. Revelation 13 tells how the Antichrist and False Prophet will use the mark as a method of controlling the monetary system of the world. Verse 17 says the False Prophet will decree, “…that no one should be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark….”

That level of monetary control cannot happen if cash remains an option. Cash can get around corners and under tables where governments cannot see. But an all-digital currency can be monitored completely.

For years, I have taught that to make the mark of the beast possible, the world would shift away from cash. To a far greater extent than most people realize, that shift has already taken place. Only a small part of the world’s money supply is printed on paper. Money today exists mostly in the form of computer code.

But for the mark of the beast system to work, governments will have to eliminate all cash. And that’s not so far off. Governments will say that digital currency will be good for the environment. They will promise an end to money laundering, something that helps keep organized crime going. Cash is also the primary means of funding terrorist operations. They will remind us that cash carries viruses and germs. Also, it can be stolen easily.

The US dollar has been the world’s reserve currency for a long time. That gives the United States certain advantages such as the ability to borrow money at lower interest rates. With so many US leaders crying out for “equity,” how long will the United States keep such an advantage? How long will other countries allow it to have such an advantage?

A world full of digital currencies opens up the possibility of linking those currencies. Every nation will want their Central Bank Digital Currency to be linked into a global system. That link would become the new global currency. Proponents will argue that this gives every nation a stable currency. In reality, it will make trade easy and put trillions into the hands of global corporations. And it will be the beginning of world government.

FD I can see a change in you already. Faith is important to God, we can not believe without faith. You have faith believing your bank will keep your money safe for you. You do not see the money in a vault, you just see numbers in a book or on a bank statement. No person has ever seen God but people did see His Son Jesus, and Jesus said if you've seen me you've seen the Father. We can't see the air we breathe but we have faith that it is there, we can't see the wind but we can see the results of the wind. We can't see electricity but we have faith when we turn on a light bulb that it will work. We can't see gravity but we know when we fall it is down and not up.We can't live without faith. We can't see God but we can see God at work where ever we look. FD it is alright to question, that is how we learn, but don't expect proof without searching for it. Search the bible seeking truth and you will find it. You are right, if we lived our lives like the bible tells us to live, this world would be a paradise, but unfortunately man's heart is evil and we listen to Satan too much, and Satan is pure evil while God is love, we have to make the choice whom we want to follow. I choose to follow Jesus, those that choose to follow Satan will hate me, but that's ok, Jesus said they will hate you for my namesake..

Well, Everette, I admire how easy it is for you to get on board without any questions.

I agree, you cant believe in God without faith...but where is your "faith" coming from? it's faith in MAN, that you have, not faith in God, cause Man wrote the Bible. Your faith is that somehow that book man wrote was inspired by God. THAT's Faith.

Money in bank can be verified, all day, everyday. And it's insured, in the event it does go missing, they will replace it. I did have an issue one time with a debit card, it somehow slipped through the cracks that i had made a deposit, and i had been thinking for months that my balance was higher, after some work discovered it was never recorded. Took my receipt to CVS, and told them i made this deposit on to my pre loaded debit card, and they determined that the agent never completed the transaction right. I then got the money added.

Rare, but it can happen.

A better analogy is probably, you cant see the air you breathe but you know it's there. Then again if you look at that air under a microscope as it enters the nose you will see oxygen molecules, as well as pathogens like corona virus entering.

I disagree that Jesus will "hate" anyone. He came for the sinner as much as he came for the straight and narrow. And we're all sinners anyway, let's not kid ourselves.

Im glad you see a change in me, lol. I used to believe much easier than I do now. now im conflicted with all kinds of sources coming in. Looking for logic in something that is not logical is not fruitful.

It takes blind acceptance, I used to have when I was young. Hmm, there's a good song by The Killers called when you were young, and it mentions Jesus... it all comes full circle great little band

Good grief... OK, I'll try this ONE more time...

Dom,
What if I could show you something newly discovered, in the Hebrew texts of the Old Testament, that no man 4000yrs ago could have possibly conceived or accomplished on his own?

Can anybody explain this?

Luke 14:26 26 "If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters-yes, even their own life-such a person cannot be my disciple.

Which brings us back to multidimentionality...

Genesis 1
Pay close attention to how God describes the "waters and firmament". Then apply your awareness of multi-dimensions to those passages and see if it makes more sense to you.

In my "Space Alien" thread I claimed to "stir the universe into existence" like a giant fishbowl lol. You see, God created our limited space within His unlimited space, and our limited space just happens to be our enter universe. That's one big fishbowl lol! If we could chart the limits of our universe we would still only come to one conclusion, we are not gods. So, given our awareness of multidimentionality, Genesis 1 leaves us with a question; Why does God refer to the different dimensions as "waters"?

There is much about God that we will never understand, and aren't equipped to understand. However, pointing your finger in castigation is easy and requires absolutely zero integrity. We all tend to find acceptable answers for whatever it is we sincerely search for Dom. That's why I'm convinced that you do not seek answers, only applause for argument.

Considering our instinctive awareness of infinite possibilities, don't you hate this life Dom?

You dont offer me answers, I GREW UP CATHOLIC.... I HEARD IT ALL!

You want to tell me about a Bible Code thats proven to be fake, Im not surprised, God would have no purpose for a hidden code, why write the Bible, if it needs a secret code....

I do want to know more, and hope to see God some day, My "arguments" is logic, if I dont agree, am I suppose to say "Wow Gee Japov, you really opened my eyes, I have no more doubts" IS that the idea? This is not a simple disucssion, religion runs deep

But you might enjoy this song. Pete Townshend talking from Pov of God creating the universe

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlbZDrMDaX4

And when the world began
I'd been asleep forever
I opened one eye
'Twas then it was I
Got the whim to wake

And when the weight of space
Rolled like it was an ocean
One became one
Father and son
Watched the sunrise break

And as the ocean warmed
And from this dream we woke
One sang to greet the dawn
One pursed his lips and spoke

Wake up and hear the music
Wake up and hear the music play
Wake up and hear the music
Wake up and hear what the people say

I heard the heavens sing
Predicting Marty Robbins
I knew I'd find
Music and time
Were the perfect plan

I watched my son sail on
A little ship a-bobbin'
I had to grow
I needed to know
Exactly who I am

And as the ocean warmed
And from this dream we woke
One sang to greet the dawn
One pursed his lips and spoke

Wake up and hear the music
Wake up and hear the music play
Wake up and hear the music
Wake up and hear what the people say

Wake up and hear the music
Wake up and hear the music play
Wake up and hear the music
Wake up and hear what the people say

I dont know why you insult me because I dont agree with you. If I dont agree with your tag team of Bible pushers then Im a troll, or I just want to argue...

If I was arguing with somebody else trying to convince them, with your beliefs, then id be ok. BUt since Its different im just wanting to argue.

Forget it, this time Im done with you. It makes zero sense to waste any more energy on you.

Hmmmmm...
Is that to say, the Bible is simply not entertaining enough for you?

Would you find the Bible more intellectually gratifying if it was written by Dr Seuss?

Actually, I wouldn't get too upset. If the word "edifying" can be used reflexively, as it is by JAPOV here, it's kind of a weird compliment rather than an insult. smile

FD all mankind are sinners, the bible says we are born in sin with evil hearts, we fall short of the glory of God and if we say we are not sinners, we are liars. But God still loves us and don't want one to perish in our sin. We live in a sinful world of which Satan is god for a given period of time. God is also a God of justice, so sin must be paid for. This is where Jesus comes in, Jesus had no sin so He volunteered to pay the penalty for our sin, He who had no sin became sin for us. If He paid for our sin, which He did, then we are innocent, but we must believe this and accept His payment, this takes faith. If one does not believe this, they are still in their sin and must face paying for it themselves, and the penalty for sin is death.

If you wanted to go to a concert and I paid for your ticket and told you the ticket would be waiting at the ticket booth, to just ask for it and go on in, but if you didn't believe me or forgot to pick it up, you would have to pay for your way in. Jesus paid for your sin but if you don't accept it, you will pay yourself but it won't get you into Heaven, sin is paid for in Hell.

FD I do believe you want to learn the truth and the truth is in the bible, it must be searched to find those nugget of truth. I had a friend who started to read the bible just so he could argue with his Christian brother in law, but in stead he found the truth that his brother in law was talking about, so he couldn't argue anymore, he accepted the truth and became a Christian.

You're a good man Everette. And you probably would be religion or not.

For me, the problem occurs when I think where the information came from. If you've ever played the game of telephone as a kid, the message by the time it reaches the end of the chain is usually different, or not even close.

If you sincerely think about it, your faith is in man. You have faith that the men who wrote the bible, were A. honest, B. Not crazy, C. Accurate,
D. Trustworthy, or my concern E. They wanted it to be true so much, that they believe it.

You have no way of knowing that what's written in the Bible is God's word, other than people telling you it is.

Unless you have a a recording of God saying "the Bible....yep that's my stuff...."

Faith in God would be easy, faith in man...well we know where that gets us...often.

I love that you're still trying to get to him Everett... that you still believe Dom is actually seeking the truth. Don't let him disappoint you!

Perhaps a character study of all those "men" in the Bible would help?
Illustrate for Dom how God's Will is always done DESPITE the imperfections of men that He calls to His service smile

Funny how youtube feeds work. I mentioned the killers, great band, I didnt know the leader singer was a mormon, so the playing of the killers videos and religion videos, came up with this as a "something you might be interested in" lol

So we got Richard Dawkins an atheist who I mentioned here earlier, and Brandon Flowers of the killers debating religion.... lol

Supernatural? lol

-Within 50 seconds of this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-pr2PL-e9Y , DomDom Dawkins states, "Belief in the supernatural is against the "SPIRIT" of science" lol... So, I started taking notes.

-Then he claims religious people are ignorant of how much more fun science is... What a Dom!

-Then he goes straight to evolution... Like nobody saw that coming...

-Then he nails the Mormon to the wall with a few facts! Must admit, made me chuckle lol

-But then, he reduces both the Bible and Qur'an equally down to ancient poetry and myth... Showing his own willful ignorance lol!

-Then he says the TRUTH is what's most important in life, but you should lie to a child about life and death to protect their delicate psychological development... What a 'Tard!

-Lol, then on to how music, poetry, physical beauty can evoke profound scientifically unexplainable emotion. Doma$$! There's a reason why denying the "SPIRIT" is the one unforgivable sin...

-Then the rest is a bunch of obviously scripted crap about tradition and culture, and how science will eventually explain everything.

Yeah', I found this about as informative as a bucket of pig testicles!

I feel sorry for Hawkins, Satan has a great hold on him, but even he can be saved. God wants none to perish in their sins. He's made money off his non belief so it would be much harder for him to accept Jesus as Saviour and admit he was wrong, all his atheist followers would be devastated. Still there have been atheist that have become Christian and vice versa, some Christians that become atheist, the latter will be worst off because blasphemy is the one unforgivable sin.

FD God did write the ten commandments with His finger of fire carved in stone tablets, I would imagine they were heavy to carry. If He wrote the whole bible this way, there would not be a crane strong enough to carry it. Yes God used man to write what He dictated to them to write. Lawyers dictate letters to their secretaries all the time but they are just as binding as if he wrote them with his hand. I believe the bible because much of what was prophesied has already come to pass. The only thing left to happen is the rapture of the church and the seven years of tribulation, which is getting very close. I've had things happen to me that showed me the hand of God working in my life. I've even heard the voice of the Holy Spirit twice in my life and each time He was chastising me for wrong thinking or wrong doing. FD get into the word and ask God to reveal Himself to you, He loves you, He made you, He wants you to come to Him ,but He won't force you.

Hawking is the scientist, he recently said God did not create the universe. He's dead now, but he was considered the smartest human on Earth at the time of his death https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...verse-says-hawking-idUSTRE6811FN20100902

The guy in the other video was richard DAWKINS he is a famous atheist. True he probably has made money from being an atheist, but so has people like Hal Lindsay made millions being a believer...or so he preaches.

Everybody has an angle, and if you are persuasive enough you can make money.

I dont know, i think intially there were 15 commandments, and Moses dropped one. That is very likely being they were so heavy...

God inspired, verse God written, are too different things, one is fallable, the other is not. People write God inspired songs too, but they are not divine.

It's faith..not much else to go on, but my faith would be stronger, if man didnt write it.

FD you are right, I get mixed up with Hawking and Dawkins, sorry, but Hawking was wrong too and he is dead with no chance of being saved, unless he had a death bed experience. I don't know where you get there were 15 commandments and Moses dropped one. He purposely smashed the two tablets when he saw his people sinning, but God renewed them. That video was a mockery. The wisdom of man is foolishness to God. I don't know how the bible could be written if God didn't inspire man to write. Do you have any suggestions.
