Hi everyone, I've been away for a while for many reasons unrelated to this site. I hope everyone has been well since I was here last.
I wrote this song in stages: the music 40 years ago, the words 20 years ago and now, I'm working on a middle 8 and want to record it on my brand-new TASCAM DP-32SD using my somewhat new Taylor 326CE Baritone 8 string guitar.
Before I start this venture, I'd love to hear your two cents. I'm going to make the chorus much more dynamic with drums and heavy guitarwork and I will do my best with the vocals after I figure out how to get the TASCAM TM-80 microphone to work better.
Anyway, here it is. Thanks in advance for the listen:
Everything seems to be working fine to me... May just be the ambience where you're recording making your vox sound "boxy" but that's an easy fix. Just drop your Eq between 100/300 about 3 Db and cut the low end up to about 80.
You're off to an interesting start! 40yrs ago eah?
Yeah, time flies. Marriage and children became a priority over all other things (including music). Now I'm going over all the stuff I wrote back then and I'm trying to figure out which ones to dust off and record. This one's 40 years old (and getting older), but I thought it might be interesting to mess with again.
Thank you for your advice. (At least I've got modern recording toys and new guitar to play with).

You have the "In" part of invisible on the down beat - so it is emphasized, but in conversation, it's the "vis" part that is emphasized. If you could add another adjective before the word "Invisible" I think it would be fixed. Like "old invisible" or "so invisible with the "So" on the downbeat.
Of course, if you are John Mellencamp (Jack and Diane) you might get away with it as is.
