https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=14234277It will never be over The privileged never know The heartbreak of a soldier The silent hell of home What's it all for If death is no disgrace The grave is no more comfort For those who take my place The potential of youth The honor of thieves The illusion of truth The war in me The enemy shows no mercy His mouth is full of lies His hands are full of treachery His face is a disguise You must be ever vigilant The enemy has no shame Their mothers are all whores Their children have no names Don't listen to their cries Every animal dies So don't be fooled by their eyes Don't look into their eyes What's it all for If death is no disgrace The grave is no more comfort For those who take my place The grave is just as cold For those who take my place The potential of youth The honor of thieves The illusion of truth The war in me It will never be over The privileged never know The heartbreak of a soldier The silent hell of home

Great Track man! Fat sound it has a seventees sound to it, and the bass in one ear.
Somehow Carol keeps getting nice collabs, lol
But ill tell you right now one thing is a must, you gotta have a melodic guitar hook after the war in me line. Cause as is there's no hook, just a cool slammin track.
Wouldnt have to change much just think of a hook and lay it on top after that.
Otherwise great work.

Im so immersed in drums right now, rig is not even sit up to record guitar right now.
Try a melodic minor scale, this is in F# right? Try sliding up to f# ...2nd string 7th fret? Bend it, and maybe try a triplet C#-E-F# after sliding up and holding the f# a bit. But make it sing not just jam. So weird describing it in words... lol
But ive been worrying about other instruments and you sound better with live guitar right now.... ill catch up though

The attitude of the song reminded me a bit of Nightime for the Generals, i was looking for a bit of that kind of guitar work, not that its easy to do. Stephen Stills is a very underated player. Crosbys voice on this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLxm15XC6sY

Edwin Starr- War Timeless! War, huh, yeah What is it good for? Absolutely nothing, uhh War, huh, yeah What is it good for? Absolutely nothing Say it again, y'all War, huh (good God) What is it good for? Absolutely nothing, listen to me, oh War, I despise 'Cause it means destruction of innocent lives War means tears to thousands of mother's eyes When their sons go off to fight And lose their lives I said, war, huh (good God, y'all) What is it good for? Absolutely nothing, just say it again War (whoa), huh (oh Lord) What is it good for? Absolutely nothing, listen to me It ain't nothing but a heart-breaker (War) Friend only to The Undertaker Oh, war it's an enemy to all mankind The point of war blows my mind War has caused unrest Within the younger generation Induction then destruction Who wants to die? Oh War, huh (good God y'all) What is it good for? Absolutely nothing Say it, say it, say it War (uh-huh), huh (yeah, huh) What is it good for? Absolutely nothing, listen to me It ain't nothing but a heart-breaker (War) It's got one friend that's The Undertaker Oh, war, has shattered many a young man's dreams Made him disabled, bitter and mean Life is much too short and precious To spend fighting wars each day War can't give life It can only take it away, oh War, huh (good God y'all) What is it good for? Absolutely nothing, say it again War (whoa), huh (oh Lord) What is it good for? Absolutely nothing, listen to me It ain't nothing but a heart breaker (War) Friend only to The Undertaker, woo Peace, love and understanding, tell me Is there no place for them today? They say we must fight to keep our freedom But Lord knows there's got to be a better way, oh War, huh (God y'all) What is it good for? You tell me (nothing) Say it, say it, say it, say it War (good God), huh (now, huh) What is it good for? Stand up and shout it (nothing)

Hi JAPOV You're right, many war poet's in history. Strangely enough I was reading some a couple of days ago. Poems by guys I'd never heard of, WW1 poems by ordinary soldiers, ankle deep in the mud, and [naughty word removed] of a trench. The song has a Doors feel to it, excellent lyric and a poignant subject Regards John

Great sound. I love the military march feel to it. I also like the shift to a gentler groove for the verse about not looking into their eyes.
