Its a clear pattern.
1. Start...don't care about the money, and even frown upon it 2. Get very successful and popular, money comes in droves. 3. become a money machine and do it for the money
Notice their list is all performing songwriters.
I think once you become huge, you employ so many people you're basically touring and continuing on to keep your staff employed...
