Before you buy it check out if you can run SYNC your DP-18 with it via USB. the newer models don't have MIDI...(Mine is one of the first 300 & it does)...I use MIDI to run my keyboard & SYNC my drums via MIDI...I was gonna buy a new unit but they said it would not SYNC via USB...So I've got a unite wth 4-6 messed up channels LOL...It's almost a decade old now
You may have an issue with this unit because you use the ALESIS SR-18..BEFORE you buy and get the wifey mad, make sure it will accomidate your ALESIS to SYNC

I appreciate the advice, Steve. Now I'm scouring reviews and even considering the TASCAM DP-32SD. I love the quality I get from my DP-006. I can't play keyboards or drums, so MIDI isn't as much of an issue for me. I create my drums with the ALESIS, then export them and save the drum track as a .WAV or .mp3 file. I guess a Taylor 8-String Baritone is still a pipe dream for me...

Hi Steady-Eddie, I fixed some of the guitar timing issues I had and I brought the opening guitar riff more to the forefront at the end, Here's the latest version: https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=14169570Thanks and Happy New Year! Dan

Thanks Steady-Eddie. I just bought a Tascam DP-32SD, so I'm going to see what I can do for this song with that. I can't wait to implement all the thing I've learned from you guys here on that machine.. Incidentally, is there a thread where I can ask how to market songs?
Enjoy the day!

Hi Steve,
Based on your recommendation, I just bought a Tascam DP-32SD. I won't have the same concerns regarding MIDI that you mentioned, mainly because I can't even play Chopsticks on a keyboard. I'm a guitarist/songwriter. I'll likely use Cakewalk Sonar Professional to create any piano or orchestra-type instrument tracks, convert them to audio, then import them. I know that's ugly, but that's the best I can do. Anyway, once I'm up to speed with my new toy, I'm going to re-do this song.
Thanks for your advice and have a great day!
Dan
