The Powers Of Flowers.
Well I met the love of my life At the county flower show She was admiring my begonias So I said hello, She said they’re magnificent Told me she was impressed I stood straight as a bean pole And puffed out my chest.
I asked her what do you grow She kinda licked her lips Said I’ve got a neat rose bush And a pink clematis, I said I’d love to see them In the after breakfast light Well she asked me over And we bloomed all night.
Yeah we made love In the wee small hours And I bless the lord For the powers of flowers.
bridge Her garden is the most spectacular That I’ve had the pleasure to frequent Her roses and carnations Stir sweet sensations With intoxicating scent, Now when we go to a flower show There’s a rule I must obey My prize winning begonias Are never on display.
yeah, we made love In the wee small hours And I bless the lord For the powers of flowers Yes I bless the lord For the powers of flowers.

Know a bit about the power of flowers as I deliver them during the major floral holidays most years. Not the same thing as what many consider to be the artificial flower power of the hippie era.

This could make a fun song, especially for live performance.
