I find myself working on more instrumental songs than song with lyrics these days. I am getting to liking composing music. I'd appreciate feedback and thoughts on this (instrumental song) https://soundcloud.com/irwin-abrigo/we-live

Hello Irwin,
For me, this is a good start to a tune. I felt it suffered a bit from lack of diversity. The basic rhythm tracks didn't seem to change much throughout, especially the percussion. It just kind of stayed steady throughout, which caused it to lack dynamics. The main melody piano instrument had more of a solo, improvisational feel than really laying out a discernible melody, which I think was lacking. Though it is an instrumental, I think the keys should have defined the melody more. I hope that makes sense.

As Dave says, Irwin, a good start but an instrumental needs more melody definition. This to me sounds like a collection of random notes. Needs a strong riff repeated often through it.
Good luck with your creating.
