This is a little song I wrote and then I made this silly lyric video to go with it. It is about finding my dad's dentures on an airplane when I was a teen traveling with my parents from Saudi Arabia. https://youtu.be/VYAeb7RBuM4This was just a little one-off recording I made and then decided to do the video. Words are below but they are also on the video. Teeth Song - Wendy DuMond I found your teeth In the aisle of the plane On an overseas flight I was half asleep Staring down at my feet In the morning light I had a notion And I'll be damned If it wasn't right Those were your teeth In the aisle of the plane On that overseas flight On the plane it was always Heineken With a bourbon chaser And at 40 thousand feet There went your teeth Flying over a glacier Break After all these I don't know why I remembered finding your teeth It was a very strange Weird little gift You left for me I ain't decided if it was funny Or if it was sad But I picked-up your teeth You were the only Daddy I had I found your teeth In the aisle of the plane On an overseas flight I was half asleep Staring down at my feet In the morning light I had a notion And I'll be damned If it wasn't right Those were your teeth In the aisle of the plane On that overseas flight

Lovely little song. I was carried along by the sheer silly charm of it. It is also strangely affecting.

Best -Mike Thank you sir. I apologize for the late reply. I think using the term "teeth" for dentures is a "Southernism." We always called them that.

Lovely little song. I was carried along by the sheer silly charm of it. It is also strangely affecting. Thank you Gavin. This song arose from a workshop I attended last October. I did the workshop because I became a bit paralyzed and could not write. The attendees at the workshop started a FB group and we have all been sharing our songs in the group. For this one, we picked a few nouns and wrote a song based on the noun. It is interesting b/c there were other words but everyone in the group wrote a "teeth" song. Teeth must have resonated! Thank you again for listening. And I apologize for the late reply.
