This year I was blessed with cuts of the same song by two great artists, Matt Westin and Bryan Carroll. I believe that Country artists and Christian Country artists are once again seeking songs with depth. I hope that trend continues. That being said, this is a song I wrote based on the actual life of a humble man whose sole purpose in life was helping others. I believe Mr. Grant Cushinberry's story deserves to be told. I hope it is in God's plan to have it land on a CD eventually. Thanks for listening! http://frettie.com/track_detail/2151

Morning, Marvin:
I've known Ministers and Country Preachers who would work all week and never deliver a sermon worthy of being placed beside this song's powerful message. I hope Maxine Waters is listening! LOL! Hope, not hate... is the solution to our Worlds problems.
Congratulations on getting two cuts... but I've always been told that "Cream always rises to the top"... and this one is pure cream. Thanks for sharing and, as always, best of luck in everything you do. You obviously have a fantastic work ethic and a big heart.
Mr. Cushinberry is probably smiling down from Heaven at you.
----Dave

I seriously doubt even this message could change Maxine. Ha! Thanks for listening Dave, and for the glowing remarks. I appreciate it more than you know.
God bless, Marvin

Marvin, I really enjoyed listening to this. Great story, great message and you told it in a way that makes me believe God's inspiration is behind this song and His timing is all over this and it will be on a CD before you know it. Peace, Skip

Thanks Skip for the great comments. You are right that God's inspiration is behind this song. I give Him all the glory for everything I have written the past several years. Thanks again, and God bless.

You are a great human being Marvin
Talented , but not full of himself, like many less talented writers
I am not surprised you have had two cuts with this song;
Its cleverly written with great PROSODY, you deserve success
I often listen in as I manage some Talented European Singers, who are
always on the look out for the right songs ; keep up
the good work and GOD BLESS
One of the most important principles of songwriting is to remember that a good song is a partnership of many different components, all working together to produce a satisfying musical experience.
In that respect, song components are either enhancing or compromising their combined effects.

Thank you Cheyenne for your kind remarks, and for taking the time to listen. I would love to work with you if you ever have an artist would like to record something from my catalog. I could send you a link to my top 30 catalog picks to listen to anytime. Thanks again, and God bless.
Best Always, Marvin
