When I receive an mp3 attachment in my email. How do I get it on my desktop. Before I had Windows 10 I could simple drag it on my desktop, or right click and "save as". Now all I get with a right click is "open" or "save". When I select "save" it just closes my email box. I hate Windows 10. Everything has extra steps that Windows 7 didn't have. Thanks for your help. John

It "saves as" in my G Mail, but not Windows Live Mail. I've found online a lot of issues with Windows 10 on their Live Mail. Did I say I hate Windows 10? Well, I do. John

If you're using Edge, it's icon looks kinda like internet explorer, stop doing that and use chrome. Edge has many issues.

Humm, I believe, could be wrong, after you save something it goes into My Documents. By going into your My Documents and finding the File, you can Right Click it and the Window that opens says send to, Click on link, Desktop is one of them . I have done that from time to time, but I am still using Windows XP.

Thanks Guys! I can use my G-mail account for mp3 downloads. I tried using Chrome Ronnie, still the same. Ray, I even did a search trying to find it on my computer. Nothing with the name of the file showed up. I have a feeling that the "save" in the Mail just saves it there. It didn't have a "save as". I see quite a few others with a Google search has the same problem. John

Can you open it and then save it? No Vic, it opens in Microsoft Groove Music player. No "save as" options there. John

Okay, I figured a way around this. I can go directly to my server online and "save target as" there. Before going into my Microsoft Mail everything has to go through my main server. Thanks for all the suggestions. Best, John
