Sound reminds me of some of the 1960s era classic rock songs by artists on both sides of the pond. Title is perfect metaphor for being behind on your luck. In a different sport it would be like having two strikes on you before arriving at the plate. Good retro rock piece.

Cool sound, Trentb! It could be another sports metaphor but I don't quite get this reference:
I'm.... a two minute drill how can I leave the home crowd with a thrill?
Enjoyed my listen.

Hi again Ricki. It is sports analogy. It's the idea of chasing or playing from behind...but in life.
In football, a two minute drill is when a team is losing in the game, and the quarterback is trying to come from behind to win in the final minutes, or even seconds. They call that a two minute drill even if there is 1 minute left...lol. It's a process
The guy in song is wondering if and how he can come out ahead, after being "behind" I like ending songs with a question...thanks for listening,

Cool rock song with a touch of a punk attitude.
I liked the lyrics and the hook is great. The overall performance and production are good, too.
The vocals need de-essing - the sibilance is marring an otherwise good vocal.
Very cool.
Peace, TC

Feels extremely 90s, especially every time you say "I...", a large part of that too is in the vocal recording quality.
Very tight performance instrumentally.
