Trent, The one thing that stood out right away was the first line of your chorus. "Talkin bout my generation gap". Much too close to the first line of My Generation by The Who. "Talkin bout my generation". I would be concerned that anybody is gonna pick up on that and hold it against you. I could be wrong but I just had to bring it up. Paul

Paul That was done on purpose Paul, and you picked up on it so, I'm glad Wanted to write about how adults and kids are not very different today, whereas the who didn't want to be like their parents. If you notice the kids are pissed which is a reference to the kids are alright You dont need to connect the who to this its way different, but people old enough to know that song can say..oh yeah Thanks for checking in.. Btw, who would hold it against me? What will they do not sign me to a million dollar deal?

Btw, who would hold it against me? What will they do not sign me to a million dollar deal? You never know. But according to Murphy's law, this would be your #1 hit. Then you'd have to listen to all of that.. I hope I didn't come across as nitpicky. When it comes to feedback, if I think it, I share it. As long as it's constructive feedback, that is. Good luck with the song. You're off to a good start.

No, I was happy to get a reply, lol.
But I thought when somebody sings, talking bout my generation....it would be obvious. No problems Chief
I'm guessing if I had finished it with guitar similar to my generation it would have been mor obvious, it was a tip of the hat without stealing.
But you did give away your age!
